Ready for the OS!! pedicure, manicure, hair trimmed, another doctor checkup with dermatologist, just 1 more doc to go and clean bill of health...thryoid meds on the dot, still working on iron +++, 6 more PT visits, and cold weather gear working, now just need the left foot to stay warm so will add in hunting instant warmers and I think I am good to go!! and in fact ran 5 this morning and then biked 13 at lunch in some cold weather and rode out 6.5 and then turned back and decided to up the effort and spotted two guys up ahead and used them as carrots!! and rode hard all the way back to my car!! with the temperature dropping and sun going away, so it was 41 when I was riding and is now 36 and rain for the next two days!! but still got the car washed too and all maintenace has been done on me, the car and my bike is G2GO!!! I am psyched! one advantage of running in the cold is that my leg/glute is numb from the cold so cant quite feel that piriformis!!! lol.....got some new music in the IPOD too. Revelation by Third Day, Do You Remember by Jay Sean, and Down by Jay Sean (remember the breast cancer hospital "dance" song?)...... you should see me outside with the dog looking at me quizzically when I dance around!! I am pumped!! ooh and I got up to 35 pushups yesterday, nope not consecutively!!! have a good evening!!
oh your public service announcement??? we are outside so much? skin cancer. looking for moles, spots that are bleeding, irregular shaped, maybe itching, new ones, might feel like a piece of glass in your skin.... nope, I don't have any! and I use Neutrogena SPort sunscreen about every day on my face and no breakouts with it. also, hair loss? ponytail usage can be a contributor! as it pulls the hair especially in the front... yep I reall all the brochures while waiiting! m
Marianne- thank you for the reminder! I need to make a hair appointment and get some stuff to the dry cleaner before my Jan business trip! That's gonna be here before I know it!
I had a wonderful run this morning listening to the "Meet the Team" podcast with Robin! Robin- your voice/accent is sooo much like Kris- I had to keep reminding myself this wasn't Kris talking! I loved hearing your story! Do you still have that hot pink bike? You gotta post a pic of that one!
This weekend is New Years and there is a small informal 5K midnight run on Thurs night that I'm hoping to do (pending weather and my ability to stay awake that long)! After that, Joe and I are hoping for reasonable weather so we can head down to Hatteras for a little surfing. Beleive it or not, winter is supposed to be the best time to learn around here- although wetsuits and booties are absolutely required! Maybe I'll see if Joe will take some pics this time to share. I'm still WAAAAY at the beginner stage- but I'm having fun!
Other than that- no special plans or parties. How are you all planning to celebrate the new year?
Yes, I certainly did notice how young Kris looked. In fact, when I looked at the picture I thought,"There's no way she's in my age group! I think she's 35..."
Marianne: Thanks for the reminders. I'm still "reminding" myself to get a mammogram (but I don't need reminding about rewarding myself for getting one with a new bike jersey!).
Gina: I've noticed that the cowgirl sig disappears inexplicably a few times a month. I figure it's RnP or Steve Cramer uploading something to the new platform.
I'm with Linda on the Run Challenge---some skipped days for me too! I did get a pair of Vibram FF and started wearing them at work. A quick jog down the hallway with them...they really make you want to land on the balls of your feet. No heel-striking with those things.
As for New Year's plans: The DH is working overtime at the city's fireworks. He gets to be the policeman who stands guard over the actual explosives. So I'll probably hunker down with a book and fall asleep by 10pm. What a rock-n-roll lifestyle, eh?! New year's day I'm planning on a snowy mtb ride.
going to Razorback bball game tonight with the family, an annual event since they play down here in LR vs Baylor I think! starts late at 8 pm so that is late for me, and might go out with friends tomorrow if we can cover childcare!! we used to stay up late with friends and then the more kids, the more tricky childcare became as the teenagers had their own social plans! I am putting away Christmas decorations now, 40 degs, overcast, foggy and rainy, just a yuck day. Ran 3 miles this morning and when I got on scale pleasantly surprised that weight was not up with the holidays!! maybe the Holiday challenge? not sure... anyways about to drink some hot tea and tackle the mantle! Grace and I did the tree and etc last night and as I was going to bed I looked up and saw the mantle still decorated! had a bit of time and did 12 consecutive pushups, up from initial test of 8... ha. m
Kitima- I got a pair of the 5 fingers a few months ago. Have also been wearing them around. Hadn't made it to running in them yet as didn't wanna hex marathon training. I'll have to break them out now (slowly) and see what happens.
I'm in for the Hangover Classic 10 miler Fri morning (and according to forecast it looks like some bonus challenge pts). So likely closest I'll get to partying is a glass of wine with dinner! Did score tickets to the show White Christmas Sat night so taking my mom, sis & daughter for a gals night out.
Loved all the pics from Christmas, Christmas stories etc... had a nice Christmas with my family as well in NJ at my brother's house ( no pics, need to be better about that) my nieces and nephews are at a fun age (8-13) just love to hang out with them
Gina- yeah a new puppy!!!! Loved the Christmas story about surprising your mom. I could smell the lobster bisque when you described it.
I'm with Linda and Kitima on not running every day of challenge, it would put too much stress on my knee. My ART guys wants me to stick with non-impact a little longer- more pool running and elyptical. When i did my run walk yesterday it felt pretty good, when ART was working on it today, the hamstring/adductor tendons still a little tender, but much better than 2 weeks ago. Sorry if I can't contribute more points
Linda- was so sorry to hear about your friend that passed away, she sounded like a great friend and mother. Bad at any time, but so close to holidays makes it especially tough
Marianne- your PT stories made me giggle, good visual
Nemo- was exhausted reading of all the driving in DC and Maryland. Have fun surfing! Brrrrrrr! Do the wetsuits and booties keep you warm enough?
Kris- I am also a big fan of Ann taylor and the Loft, even though I am not a petite, they always a have a variety of cuts in their clothes, they understand women's bodies! Not sure if they have petites, but i think yes is The black/ white store. I have found some cute things in there, good sales as well.
Some people know from facebook, I had a little accident in the kitchen the day after christmas. After a long drive home ( a 3 hr drive turned to 5:45) I decided to check out my new kitchen knives. I was chopping an onion and sliced my thumb pretty bad ( still not sure how i did it, I usually have good knife handling skills, or so I thought) anyway, had to take a trip down to the hospital. Good thing was i didn't have to wait in an ER, one of the trauma surgeons I work with stitched up since it was still bleeding after 50 min. One the CRNAs I work with got it nice and numb for me which lasted until Midday Sunday. Still pretty tender. It's challenging to do things with partial use of a thumb!
I am working nights for New Years Eve- I prefer to work New Years. Hoping if not too crazy, we'll be able to watch fireworks from the Helipad on roof of hospital, people are bringing in food and working with a good group.
Hope everyone has a very Happy and Healthy New Year and that All your dream come true!
Tracy!! oh no. you know they make bags of frozen onions already chopped up!! way worth it. have fun at work tomorrow night and hopefully not any more trauma for you. glad you are healing. I go to PT tomorrow, will see if I get in any more scrapes. I found some 1.5 ankle weights at TJ Maxx after looking elsewhere but haven't done the leg exercises at home yet with them on. I think Mary had some surgery yesterday? anybody heard from her, just wondering how she is.,,,, m
Gals- NO need to apologize for not running everyday! This is for fun and we're all chipping in for the team. Remember, you are not alone in this! Combined we are a force to be reckoned with!
Please continue to let me know any recommendations on clothes. I usually buy tops & dress in petite sizing when avail but pants I have to stick to the regular stuff. Way I'm built, what height I have is in the legs, so petite pants are too short (go figure!)
. you know they make bags of frozen onions already chopped up!! way worth it.
M- yes I have used at time, but I wanted to play with-uh I mean use my new knives, they are Kitchen Aid, with Pink handles. They are very sharp ( money from purchase goes toward Breast cancer. yes- I still need to my mammogram and skin cancer check. Thanks for PSA!
Oh I forgot, that 700 lb patient that Carrie Chavez was concerned about,- I had a 700 lb patient in OR on Monday. It really is sad, he is only 27, his kidney are failing and lots of other problems form obesity. We did procedure in the bed because the OR table can't support the weight.
I am sitting here having a latte before heading in to work. Like Tracy, I am covering call today. I don't care much about NY Eve and the call person was on vacay, so I picked it up. Plus I need to pay for our new iMac for the pain cave . The old Dell was getting harder and harder to deal with and I was tired of spreading my life across two computers.
All the Christmas decorations are down except for the tree, which I will tackle tomorrow. As much as I love Christmas, I really enjoy cleaning up and out for the new year. Plus, Jan OS is beginning Monday!! Wow, am I ready for that?!
Great holiday pics everyone!! Loved reading all of your stories. We had an awesome holiday on this end. For the first time in years, my mom's whole side of the family was together up in Maine- 24 of us with Dave's parents included. So great to spend 4 days with everyone. I went to high school with most of my cousins so we just had an absolute blast catching up and rehashing old stories. Classic italian family, ate too much, drank too much, had one beach football injury and lots of card games/movies/napping. It was perfect.
I'm also in the working all day camp and will be at the office till 7-7:30 tonight (assuming all of my patients show up! could be a light crowd once happy hour starts and people realize they booked for NYE!). Will try to make it fun for them though. Definitely sparkling cider since we've been joking around about throwing a party all week and maybe some party hats or something.
Will be honest though- really not looking forward to the start of the new year. there is going to be a huge dose of reality on the 4th (my practices' elephant in the room if you will). we have a new and particularly evil insurance carrier taking over our region starting Monday and their goal is to cut approved visits in half (regardless of diagnosis) because they feel the state of NH as a whole overutilizes services across all allied health fields. Will be incredibly ugly for all parties involved and it's just another stress to patients. Lucky for me it's 40% of my current case load.
Onto a slightly happier topic though and I'm curious to see what you gals think since I've really only talked to colleagues about it so far and I'm curious what my fellow chica's think. I've been in the process of putting together an ebook/pdf for the running teams I work with on injury prevention and treatment strategies once injured. I happily agreed so that I could work with the teams again. I miss that part from college (I was a trainer/strength coach for the xc teams back in the day). Along the way, I started to realize that while that background was critical in my development as a therapist, a big chunk of the tricks and treatment strategies and tools that I use today are things that I learned applying that background into treating myself and all the aches/pains/injuries I've encountered throughout my endurance sport career. One thing I'm always suprised by is how many athletes I work with who don't realize that there is soooooo much they can do to self treat and help themselves when things start to go south; usually they call for help or put a halt to their training or suffer through. Combine that with the fact that most MD's aren't equipped to correct causes that are repetitive and mechanical in nature and the usual result is a lot of lost time waiting for stuff to get better. Before I ramble on too much (can you tell I have an easy morning at the office?!)...I've actually really been pondering turning this into an actual book of all the things I've learned along the way in terms of keeping myself in one piece: self treating (including all of the gadgets we own and love, easy fixes for feet, knees, etc), problem solving where the actual problem is (is it the bike or run, both?), managing problem areas (flat feet, bunions, old knee surgeries, etc), and how best to use the healthcare system to get you better (i.e. when to see the doc, which kind of doc can help you the most, treatment options, etc). Stupid idea? Good idea? And I don't mean in a business sense or some crap like that. I just love this stuff and feel like I could make a kick ass resource guide if I set my mind to it y'know?
Leigh- Absolutely- DO IT, DO IT NOW! Pictures... plenty of pics please! And I'd even think about taking it a step further and do some webinars. Also wondering if you see any trends or particulars in regard to certain running populations... master's, women's, kids and teenagers cross country? We have a very strong and competitive elementary thru high school age cross country program here. It's really cool cause there are lots of strong future chickas involved. Down the road, I see myself working with younger girls and fitness somehow. Some coaches are very knowledgable and some are recruited simply because they run (not necessarily with good form).
Anyway what I'm rambling about was I would find that very interesting if there were trends with women's masters. Definitely interested in preventative maintence as well! So much "stuff" out there, I'd gladly welcome this book on my shelf ANY day!!
Great idea!! Don't file it away. If I can help in any way let me know!
I agree with people waiting to long to address pain. There is so much we can do immediately to nip it in the bud and be back in the game. Waiting to see an MD to maybe refer to us is such a waste of the athletes time.
HOLY CRAP LEIGH!!! What a fantastic idea. I'm gonna be the first in line to buy that resource when it's ready!!! Seriously, there really isn't anything comprehensive out there that an athlete could use for self-help. Sure, there are tons of stretching books, and you can surf the internet all day to find different sites which might help you figure out what your injury might be and how to fix it. But there's nothing that really pulls all of this stuff together. As someone who now lives out in the middle of nowhere (30 min drive to a decent PT , 2 hour drive to a Sports Doc and/or ART person, and haven't even found a decent massage therapist yet)- I could really use something like what you are talking about. I need to be pretty good at doing some self diagnosis and then since the time/cost of seeing a professional is so high- I really need to know what kind of pro to see so I don't waste a trip.
Leigh: I think that book is a GREAT idea. You have such a vast bank of knowledge on the subject (as a treating professional and as a patient) that it would be invaluable to the reader/runner. At the risk of insulting my fellow MD's, I have to wholeheartedly agree with you that the majority of docs (especially surgeons!) are not equipped to (and I'll venture more insult: even INTERESTED in) repetitive injuries. I seen/spoken to dozens of orthopaedic surgeons (as a patient and a colleague) about my running injuries and the answer I've gotten has been: "Don't run that much! Find another sport that doesn't involve all that high impact exercise. Have you considered golf?" Most of the helpful advise I've received for my running injuries have come from PT's and chiro's. Let me be the first person on the list to get a copy of this book!
G--My dad used to say "New Year's Eve is for amateurs," i.e. for people who only go out once a year. A bit harsh, but I'm not into NY's Eve stuff either. We'll be in watching a movie on the boob tube.
Leigh--the short answer is yes you should do it. (I have to get on the bike so more later....running very late...) But, in brief, if I were you, I would not write it in isolation then--ta da!-- turn it out. I would use all the tools in Web 2.0 marketing, create the content, get a following on the web for it as you go, then publish it as a volume. Ala Julie and Julia--might sound silly, but it's a true story and a great example. Another great example is what RnP do here--and I helped them with suggestions early on. They're quite brilliant at it, IMO. More later, and we can talk.
I'll be honest...a huge eye opener was when it was my turn to be sidelined with the busted foot. Here I was knowledgeable and knew every doc in a 50 mile radius and all I got was a "that sucks, Leigh" from all of them along with a just let it heal treatment plan. And that was calling in favors, y'know? It's frustrating, but there are so many ways to get around it all and get to work in the right direction.
more later- should probably start earning my paycheck for the day!
Ugh! Yes, I need to get going on the paycheck earning part of my day. Sometimes the privelege of working from home turns into an opportunity for wallowing around in these forums! (But I love that!)
Anyway, Leigh, your book is a great idea! As you, Kitima, and others have said, highlighting the options outside of the conventional medical community for treatment and prevention of injuries for endurance athletes is an important message that a lot of athletes like us haven't gotten yet. I tell sooooo many people (some who are endurance peeps, some who are just casual run/workout people,, some who ski like crazy people....) my story of having gone to the Univ of CO Sports Medicine Clinic's "running specialist" and given the orders to "stop running so much." After that is when I discovered ART at IMCDA, and got things fixed, and also got lots of info on streteches and strengthening to help keep things in order....and to help me stay on the run! I have one friend who almost had back surgery but took one last visit with a Chiro/ART practitioner and found that she was treatable without surgery (she did her first IM in AZ this year )
Your book would be a great resource for people. You are a great person to write this stuff too because you're both a practitioner and an athlete.
I love Linda's idea about leveraging Web 2.0, and tapping the experience of RnP. The feedback loop that platform offers would be invaluable. Then, if you want some insight into navigating the hard copy book publishing process I have a friend (also an IM athlete) who wrote/published a book that related financial fitness with physical fitness and workouts...anyway, having been through that part she might be able to provide an overview as well as some specific guidance on how that whole thing went together. She's in NYC and spends quite a bit of time in the general New England states so accessible.
No NYE plans for us. In fact, since I grew up on the east coast, I maintain the east coast midnight and go to bed at 10:10 MST after a quick "happy New Year" smooch and tooth (the few that are left) brushing, etc. New Years day is a good ski day on the mountains so Brian will head out for some snowboarding while I take my Friday rest day.
OK...now I'm really going to get to work!!! REALLY!
Leigh, let us know if you want to use an ebook or similar as a marketing tool for your bidness. We have this stuff pretty wired, could point you to resources, give some advice, etc.
Recommend you read Permission Marketing by Seth Godin and Crush It by Gary Vaynerchuck.
What a week!!! I have tried to read up and catch up and so glad to hear everyone had great holidays and LOVED all the pictures! I have not gotten mine off the camera yet . Maybe next week when the kids are back in school. I feel pretty wiped out by all the holiday stuff. Cook, clean, work, repeat and then a 2 day trip to Great Wolf Lodge crammed in there. It was fun, but I am glad it is checked off the kids' TO DO LIST!
Leigh - that is a fabulous idea! One more vote in favor of the book
Gina - exciting news about the puppy and Annabelle is a cute name! Not many of those that come to the kennel. It is interesting that dog names are like people names in popularity. Esther is finally getting a little easier to deal with although she insists on getting up VERY early. Starting Monday I am back to my regular 5 AM wake up call anyway though, which is good.
We have our last batch of company coming tomorrow and then will put up all the Christmas stuff on Saturday and pack up and move back to the farm on Sunday. Kids start school Monday and all of the remaining dogs except 5 will be out of the kennel. I actually close for January and the first two weeks of February so I will have some time to regroup and get my "head right". I do love the fact that I feel like I get a clean slate every Jan. 1. I have never been much of one for resolutions, but I like to try to do some stuff during that time off from work that I wouldn't ordinarily get done, especially around the house. Well, I don't actually enjoying doing it, but do enjoy the end result .
We are headed to my Brother in law's tonight and taking the boys with us, which is perfect because it gives us a great excuse to leave early. Not because it's not a nice party, but DH doesn't drink so once everyone gets rolling it gets lets fun for him and I just don't like to stay up that late anymore. So we'll head home around 10.
Nemo - I have a picture somewhere of that bike, but I can't find it right now! I don't know what folder I have it in on the computer, but obviously didn't do a good job labeling! I will find it though and post when I do. That bike is currently at the bike shop being transformed into a single speed. It will give me something to ride around with the kids and I won't have to worry about trying not to crash when I switch gears anymore because it is so old the shifters were on the down tube! At the very least I'll post a picture when I get it back as the paint job hasn't changed! Funny you say that about my accent - I grew up in Northern VA, very near DC and then went to college outside of Philiadelphia. All of my college friends give me grief about how Southern I have become! I take it as a nice compliment that I sound like Kris . Now if I could just run like her I would have it made!!!!
Kris - have fun at the Hangover 10 miler. Wish I was going to be there, but my hip is just not ready. Hoping to do a 5k on Saturday for Jan OS Vdot test.
Happy New Year all - here's to health, happiness and soundess
Leigh- What a fabulous idea!! It is SO hard to find good PT information for endurance athletes. Sign me up for a copy.
Robin- I know the first few months.... Ok, the first year. ..Ok, the first 2 years. (She is a Lab after all) will be an adventure. She will be the 6th one I've raised. Fortunately, I am used to early morning hours with my job.
Happy New Years to my EN girlfriends! Here's to a really good year, with getting to know all of you better, hopefully meeting as many as possible! I really hope everyone has a happy and health New Year. Just say NO to injuries
2010 is getting off to a good start. Not a bad night at work. Had some sparkling cider on helipad on roof of hospital,. Wasn't really a good night to see firework, pics really didn't come out. Best thing on this new Years day, I don't have that hangover/Zombie feeling after working nights- Yeah! ( a sign thyroid is finally in good level.) Just got back from a short workout, did a short eliptical, knee seems ok. Pushups/abs and stretching/ rolling next
Leigh- Love the idea of your book. I'll be one of the first to buy. Go for it! All of the other things you have done like the stretching info, core work, have been great so i'm sure the Ebook will be great also. Hopefully the evil insurance companies won't have too much of an impact on your clinic
Olivia- I would love more info on your friend"s book,- title? I am actually going to settle in one place, so plan to buy a house early 2011. Could use all financial help/info
Hey folks. This is just a quick PSA. Marianne may not be posting for the next few days until her CC issues get worked out. So don't worry if you don't "see" her in the forum, she's still out there and will be back soon!
Kris, so you know, I hate shopping!!! Hate it hate it! Anyway, my husband and I drove up to Ellsworth because a little store up there had Filson stuff 40% off (including the luggage which is NEVER on sale). Anyway, the LL Bean outlet had an ENTIRE rack of Sugoi and Brooks stuff at an incredible sale! I bought an obscene number of pieces. I love Sugoi!!!!
I had wanted to do an epic run today with my daughter. I ran out to the lighthouse yesterday and got some great pictures but can't figure out how to post pictures. Anyway, the winds are just amazing off the ocean today so I went and did a three mile run with sleet pelting me in the eyes and couldn't take anymore. My daughter wants me to run out to the lighthouse with her again tomorrow.
Glad to hear everyone had some great holiday experiences. Two more days and we head home to Minnesota!
For Nemo - The PINK bike!!! Complete with VERY comfy foam saddle that absorbs water after the swim and becomes a 5 lb anchor! Notice the old first generation q rings. No wonder I had such a hard time starting out! I am picking it up on Monday in its new form and will post another picture. Anyone care to throw out suggestions on names for this beauty?
On another note - fellow ENer Jenny Tarter and I went to a local 5k this AM. She won overall female and I was first in my AG - which has an amusing story to go along that I am going to post in the Jan OS group here shortly. It was really COLD and windy and I look like a turtle that is afraid to poke it's head out of it's shell! Notice I did not even bother to shed my polar fleece pants that I had over my insulated run tights
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I need to start the "un-decorating" and as usual I am procrastinating!
hey girls! Patrick fixed me up!! lol.. back in the forum and cuz I thought I wasn't gonna be here, posted this morning's run report here: 1year2ironman5.blogspot.com
loved the pics!!! funny funny and congrats to both of you for winning!!! big guyz just left for Memphis for Bowl game against E Carolina, Nemo leaving me here with youngest two so not riding due to childcare although the high 30 outside with sun seems warm!! am I losing my marbles!!! anyway, I keep stepping outside, saying NICE! so instead, I am going down below... to the unheated closet space off of a child's bedroom and do war in there.. Christmas needs to go in..... I have layered up and made some hot tea and eaten chocolate!!! lol... m
Robin--when I looked at the bike the first thing that came to mind is Malibu Barbie!!! Great work on the 5K! Congrats!!!!
The OS is heating up!!! Man, this morning was 2x14 @ ;FT; 2x4 @ 100%; 2x15 @ 85%. That's no joke. Not running because of the roads, and I don't feel like going to the gym. Personally, I feel just fine, and did fine. This is the place in the OS when I start being careful about anything extra I do, and where I begin to drop even the EZ swimming. Selp-preservation time!
Nothing much new in Chez Patch. Cleaned my ofice big time, catching up on projects with Keith home this week, getting finances in order for having TWO in college! Can't even think about it--it's only money, right????
YEA Robin and Jenny!! Way to go with the 5K wins! You both look so cute and so happy in that photo! Love it. Your bike is awesome....
Glad you're back in biz Marianne!
Sheryl - I have the shivers thinking about running in sleet. I was thinking I'd go outside for an easy shake out the legs run or a little mini-hike in the woods. But it's turning into a blizzard outside my door. And now reading about your sleet has me actually feeling chillly...myabe hot tea and snuggling under blankets will win out.
OMG -- My christmas card pic made the weekly update!
Olivia- I love that pic. I can't see pics at work and often forget to go back and see what everyone else was raving about. So glad the coaches picked your photo. What a fun and great pic.
Ladies- awesome job on the 5K wins. But you do look cold in the picture.
I was so very bummed. REI has declared my x-c skis unfixable. I've had them for a long time. No more skiing this winter. I'll buy some on clearance at season's end. But now I'll use my snowshoes more. So everything has a silver lining.
While everyone else is undecorating, I have been organizing my clothes/socks/winter gear. It's what I am doing to burn off energy while waiting to start OS. OOOOHHH- Just remembered, gotta clean the bike before I test!
Comments
WHAT HAPPENED to the Cowgirl sigs??????
Ok, I have been lurking.
Please continue to let me know any recommendations on clothes. I usually buy tops & dress in petite sizing when avail but pants I have to stick to the regular stuff. Way I'm built, what height I have is in the legs, so petite pants are too short (go figure!)
Happy New Years Eve everyone!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
CC
So hell yeah! I say do it!
More later, and we can talk.
thanks gals.
REALLY!
Hi Gals,
Just wandered in here .
Linda- hope your headache is better
Gotta Go
Kris, so you know, I hate shopping!!!
I need to start the "un-decorating" and as usual I am procrastinating!
loved the pics!!! funny funny and congrats to both of you for winning!!! big guyz just left for Memphis for Bowl game against E Carolina, Nemo leaving me here with youngest two so not riding due to childcare although the high 30 outside with sun seems warm!! am I losing my marbles!!! anyway, I keep stepping outside, saying NICE! so instead, I am going down below... to the unheated closet space off of a child's bedroom and do war in there..
Love to all of you!
