M, love the video!! and the pictures! You are a beautiful person, inside and out Looking forward to meeting you at Camp! Godspeed on the next 20 weeks!
okay so how do I get the IMWI logo? I know you have posted this.. and I am gonna pull the thyroid card here "I forgot"..!!! "Group blog" as talked about in April thread. week one of 20 in the books and I am so excited!!! who woulda thunk it! The runs have been great in that painfree in butt although a bit of pain in hammie and at faster pace still in quad.. but I will take it, I am getting the shoulder fixed and hope to return to the pool maybe next week or week after. And I have ridden everyday sun - thursday! some easy and the others were the workouts as rain predicted. new synthroid dosage is kicking in and I saw the scale come down to "my number" and hope it sticks! I see some color in my cheeks so my Iron must be better too and I have a renewed excitement for training! in fact I was mentally on for ALL of the work this week. I made some breakthroughs over the winter riding solo... used to that I could only ride easy by myself and needed people every time to be able to ride faster. this being a problem trying to find peeps available when I was. to be honest, I really prayed to God and asked him #1, I wanted to be able to pray while on the bike cuz some days I am not running (my normal time) and #2 I wanted to ride faster and be able to mentally lock on (like I am able to do solo running). I think what has helped is that I don't have residual fatigue from weeks of working out as I "transitioned" and took it easy while thyroid was acting up, I had a complete rest day before I begun this week and I know when the next rest day is coming....I am scheduling more of those in my plan this time around by stacking workouts or deleting! Then I looked at X workout and the night before had told myself that I was gonna do it with only medical reasons to back out (injury flare up)... I knew before the workout that morning what the work was and once I could tell in warm up that things were okay pressed on. Can I continue with this mental due diligence?? In recent reading, studies have shown that elite athletes are more used to "being uncomfortable with pain" during their hard sets.. yes they are gifted but also they tolerate pain. I like to reward myself. If I tell myself "when you get to that convenience store AFTER you have done those intervals, you can get a Snickers!" I needed some cals anyways as carbo pro did not come in. and I don't lie to myself or go back on my word. smile. Or even "after this 8' set, you can stop and pull over and take off your gloves in the 5' recovery"! "Being in the moment", heard of this phrase in yoga. and basically. the training is like recess. and while out on the road, sometimes I really focus on "the moment"... yes it hurts! but what else is going on... can I hear anything? what do I see, will I be able to recall it? what do I smell, where is my body? and then the last set I say to myself "this is the last time! make it count!" m
OK, cowgirls, MooJo is out of the barn. Anyone that is a cowgirl should have or be receiving their own Moojo in the mail. Lemme know if yours doesn't come!
Nemo- Have MooJo watch her Virtual Spectating position set up, don't want her to hurt her neck. She may need some spacers? That or i need to go to bed, cause I'm losing it
Gina, got MooJo thank you!!! Sheryl posted hers on her fb page and I told her I wanted one and whala...the next day MooJo was in my mailbox!!! Thanks for your thoughtfulness!

HA HA HA! Your right, I need a better observation stand for her! She'll be doing lots of tracking between now and September!
When I got back from my sweaty run this morning, the Moo-Jo was waiting for me in the mailbox! Thank you, Gina! It's sooo cute. I love it! Moo-Jo and I are going to the pool this afternoon with the camera...pics to come!
I think everyone has gotten their MooJo. Seems to be more fun that I anticipated!! I carried mine on the metric I did yesterday (which I soooo wasn't ready for)
Since Moojo came from Gina, I knew she had to be a foodie. And was starving after her long journey. So, I took her to brunch at Floriole. Since it is day of rest, we left The Paleo Diet for Athletes at home and took a book of Jim Harrison's essays instead:
Eat the delicious fat and take a ten-mile walk. Reach into your memory and come up with what restored you, what helped you recover from the sheer hellishness of life, what food actually regenerated your system, not so you can leap tall buildings, but so you can turn off the alarm clock with vigor.
Moo-Jo will be helping me pack up Hobbs the road bike to be shipped to California for TOC this afternoon. I better make sure she watches carefully so she can help me do it more quickly on the return trip (wouldn't want Patrick or Rich to be disappointed in my bike packing skills).
Moo-Jo is having a lot of fun! I think she'll be more fit than any of us on race day!. Moo-Jo helped me pack my bike for Tour of California today. The road bike wasn't so bad, but we both pondered about how hard this was going to be when we have to pack Fiona.
Now see- I am so not creative! Those pics are SOOOO FUNNY! Gina- My bad- I totally meant to PM you when she came last week. Thank you so very much! DH thinks it is so very cool. MooJo and I will work on abs tomorrow.
Ladies- just a little update on the visors. With Beth's help (BIG BIG BIG Thank-you to Beth!!!) The design is finally finished for the visors. I'm now working on the final quotes & paperwork to get them ordered in time for Moo Camp. They are going to be AWESOME!!! They will be embroidered (none of this cheapo screen print stuff) and they will be on Pink Headsweat visors with an adjustable strap.
Stay tuned for ordering/payment procedures and such- should be in the $20-25 range each. The general plan is to have folks place their order/make payments via PayPal and then hand out directly at Moo Camp or IMWI race weekend (trying to minimize a lot of logistical nightmares and additional costs with shipping).
I AM still working on the decals too. Trent couldn't help out with his source. Actually going to talk to someone this afternoon. Just wanted to let y'all know I haven't forgotten, just need the supplier.

So here we are: me and Moo-Jo are AIP!
Gina, thank you so much! She's just the cutest thing! She says she wants to go to yoga tomorrow...What Moo-Jo wants, Moo-Jo gets.

Linda is working on decals that we can put on our swimsuits. Something like "Cowgirl in Training" to give us a little mojo at the pool
