  • Hey folks,

just an observtion but not many bonus points out there  are you all adding the points to the milege done for that day...inquiring minds want to know or are you just holding on to them to get the last day bump lol....

  • @ James - the bonus point column is an Auto-Calc field for running all 8 days. Add daily bonus points to your daily miles, not the Bonus column.
  • Honoring the NOS rest day with a easy 3 miles at EP. No bonuses, 3 big points.
  • Well today I actually felt awesome. This is my 8th day in a row at this for I have been getting ready for my run in Florida. Today brought in the sufferfest ride, "Blender" and then we jumped on the treadmill. After freezing yesterday I wanted a break.

    10 miles =10 points

    Time-1:26=1point

    3 miles at TP= 3 points

    Total points=14

Well I couldn't take it so I hopped back on the Tmill this evening for just one hour and netted 7 miles but no bonus points cause the legs were not happy with me.  So one hour = 1 point and 7 miles = 7 points + the 14 from this am totals = 22 points.

  • Well here we are troops #6. This is a two parter 1) Above stage 1, too tooo cold to go outside !

  •

Stage #2.  A Steve West Mary. Well it's done and thanks all for the motivation. Pain cave don't smell so nice now ! Brenda your race director was at the finish line for me, awesome supporter she is clap clap clap and took great finisher photos ! Target time 4:20 Finisher time 4:19 a treadmill PB I will take that !

So today overall no tp pts( I have only managed one overall), no weather pts today even though it's -29 C out, just gutted out 26.2 miler for 26 pts.Was over 4 hr mark so 4 pts there for a total of 30.I also made a PB today as it's my first marathon on a treadmill (ugg) no pts there !

  • Congrats Steve and welcome to the deadmill mary club!
  • Lots of ice skating out there today, what with the warm-up on the weekend and well below freezing today.  I fell HARD at mile 2 on the XC trails and removed myself to the road.  Still glad to be outside, very impressed with the treadmill marathon put up today!

    7.1 miles+1 pt sub-32+1 pt (>1 hour)+1 mile @TP = 10 pts.  Not bad for a Monday.

  • I have had to stand down b/c of some serious "I can't hardly walk" PF that I am dealing with..... I will run something on the 1st, but that is it.

    BUMMIN' BAD!
  • Garmin Trace - Earning it outside, 18+3=21

Not giving in just yet. Check the elevation profile. This weren't no trundlin' along on the easy parts of Wyoming Avenue. Very difficult to keep a steady pace on this terrain but I kept it going past the mental barriers. Don't know if I'll get the 'century' I'm looking for but it may be close.

New Year's Day is going to be a Hangover 5K run in Westfield at high noon. Mike Weinmann! Wanna join in? I'm gonna wear the badger hat.

  • 15.2 Miles on the dreadmill.. 2 @ TP Yes my legs are sore and beat up. Thanks to my team mates Steve and Peter for setting the tone. Thanks to Carl for his mileage over the last 8 days.

    Great effort by all

    15.2 Miles = 15.2 points
    2 hours = 2 points
    2 TP = 2 points

    Simon The English Beast
  • You are all amazing (and funny)! Tonight I'm doing a midnight 'Resolution Run' for NYE, not many miles but there will be fireworks image
  • On the dreadmill toight too, and happily I might add. 11 miles total, 1:30 run time with 2 @ TP.

    11 + 2 + 1 = 14

Not going to be a podium finisher but should place respectably.

Nice work to all those crushing the run challenge!
  • Aww man, Steve! You did your two TP miles all at once. I'm usually too scared to run the treadmill that fast let alone for 2 miles.

Simon, you beast. I've officially resigned myself to not being able to match your total.

Yes, Kylie, the Ottawa Sleeper Cell Gangsters also lead the jokes per runner category.

Isabelle and Mark! Holy schnikees! What a team!

Please, God, 2014 can't come soon enough.

  • 6 mi today in 1 hour, 1 mi at TP so 8 points for the Badger!
Sorry Carl-just not able to get time for the 'big' miles.
Weather was a perfect 55degrees, sunny and no wind
  • Badger is roaring his ugly head. Riding this morning for 90 min with a buddy then hoping to run outside for a change of scenery. Then the big daddy tomorrow. I must then taper somewhat for this race coming up.

Best of luck to everyone today's it's been a blast!!!!
  •                                                                     Badger Boy -  HammerTime

  • Did 3x12', 1x6' at FTP this morning, then followed it up with an 8mi brick in 20 degrees in 1:02:28 with the last 2mi at TP for 12pts.

Steve Ross, no weather excuses... Get your sissy azz outside for a run today... image
  • Nice work, John! BTW, I was looking at the doc and observed you entering your 12 points just now. That was startling but cool. I came here to check if you commented because I was wondering if I messed up your line by accident. ;-)

  • Another workout comes to an end. I just have to say the BADGER FAMILY is making a statement with only two members!!!  BOOM!!!

We started with Rogers out of Trainer Road and hit FTPs at .99, 1.02, 1.0, and .99.  So far everyday before we run we ride a minimum of one hour.

Since 12/25 I have racked up 97.02 miles of running with the marathon left tomorrow and 157.33 miles of biking.

We then changed quickly and went out into the freezing tundra for just over 7 miles nice and slow.

    http://connect.garmin.com/activity/422373335

    7miles = 7 points

    under 30 degrees = 1 point

    over 60 min = 1 point

    Total today = 9 points

  • @Carl - now if we could just combine forces here, we might beat the Ottawa Sleeper Cell (AKA the Canadians)! Heck, if Team Texas recruited Steve West we could probably win it all with just one guy!

BTW - nice picture. Really liked the wings.
  • I'm flattered Joe but I don't think the math works. The OSCG have been really putting up the numbers to match the smack talk. But if you could convince the Ulfigs and Brian Quarton.... that would get you close.
  • Wow guy's/gal's thing's are starting to shape up here !

@JW I will get outside today after dark !

@Joe I feel there is some running collusion going on here, nice like the way you think !

@Westy thanks for giving the gangster's some kudo's they have been mentally pushed by all and have risen to the running challenge !

  • With all the mile mileage folks crushing the big miles, I think I'm posting for all the 'other' folks. Yes, I did dress for 40 degree temps after my NOS Tuesday FTP work and ran exactly... wait for it.... 1 mile. Even met the wife coming home from work on my way back into the neighborhood and had her play lead vehicle for me until the garmin beeped one mile and then I hopped in. 1 mile gets you 5 bonus points (at the end).

    Keep getting after it everyone!
  • Intervals on Crest Drive in a Winter Wonderland

7 miles + 1 hour + 4 miles at TP + Cold enough for wife to question my wisdom (not that that isn't something new) = 13

It's all there in the link posted here. I got a late start and paid the price. Up high in the Reservation there had already been some snow today but when I got up there a big flurry developed and for a while there I was...

    wait for it

  •  3 points today from the NOS brick run:  EZ Brick run: http://www.strava.com/activities/103096391

  • Legs were dead today after the NOS bike. Three miles at a snails pace but 16 degrees outside for that extra point....is it 2014 yet....please!
  •  Part 1 of 2

Well running mates time to check in for today's adventure, another tough day but we were able to get er done. This evening the Ottawa Sleeper Cell x 6 were out in full force and did the resolution run 5km. I managed to get the 3.1 miles done in a stunning 33:30, temp was -19 and clear sky's. Points to follow

  • Part 2 of 2

So before the Resolution run feeling the heat of the awesome run team here I did 23.1 miles on the dreadmill, so tallying 26.2 miles completed over 4 hrs. Total TP(NOT) - 0 26.2 MI - 26 PTS HRS - 4  Temp -19 C - 1 PT Total 31.2

@Johnny boy, it was cold, dark and scary !

To the rest of the Ottawa gangster's way to get things done and a shout out to teammate Scott Carty for really stepping up his game today. To the rest of us gang, tomorrow boy's To the Finish !
