Why does all the stuff that is "good for you" feel un-good when you first get started? BTW, this is why we know ice cream is not a health food... it taste awesome from the first mouthful.
I didn't do the push up test, I did a Get Insanity DVD that (as it turned out) had all sorts of pushups. (V Push ups, moving push ups, just ugh!) As I was doing this, I decided that I did not want to test until I could do them a bit better. A demoralizing moment. But, as Sheryl said, no where to go but up!
I am totally in. My daughter like to sit on my back while i do them. Now, my two year old son has found "the ride" fun too. Do I get extra credit??
I'm going to pretend you aren't doing push ups with your kids on your back while I can barely do three. Did fun push ups on the stability ball at my core class today...
Ok, so I started Day 1 today. 45 total. Feels like a looong way to go to knock out 100 in one go! I used the iphone app too. I find it amusing that I am motivated by that thing.
Started Day 1 early (I need the head start). I'm with Mark: 100 in one go seems a long way away. Total of 29 today. Looking forward to seeing what progress we can all make.
Alright folks, this is the official first week of the challenge (although I know a few of you started last week). How is everyone doing? I started with "week 3" and knocked out 85 pushups this morning. I'm gonna be sore tomorrow!
Oy. Just did day one. No joke, that. Ouch. Getting to a hundred straight will sure be a challenge...but that's the point I guess! (I also started week 3...82 total)
I'm in for Season 2. Had to bail at Christmas last year, when I trashed my shoulder playing on my nephew's new RipStick. I'll be smarter with the kids' toys this year!
Holy Crap! I just started week 1 tonight, and I am dying!
45 (the minimum for me) tonight... and just barely. My arms were shaking like the Tacoma Narrows bridge during a windstorm during those last 3 reps... I'm going to be hurting tomorrow.

Oops, wasn't sure when we were actually supposed to kick off. Started last week on Week 3, column 3. Going to kick off week 2 (well week 4 really) tomorrow. It's definitely harder than you'd think. First I thought I'd be tough and do pushups as I usually do, which is with my legs up on my stability ball to get in a core workout. I quickly realized I was soft and weak and decided to just do them the old fashioned way.

Day 1 - Summary: Ow.

so does this mean we start week 1 next week or is it this week?
my patients make fun of me all the time for being a push up/pull up weenie!
As I was doing this, I decided that I did not want to test until I could do them a bit better. A demoralizing moment. But, as Sheryl said, no where to go but up!
Check out the 100 Push-Ups iPhone app - good little motivator.
Let's get started!

Thanks Sheryl for letting me know about the app for my phone.
