  • BETA TESTING NEW MICRO FORUMS...

.please check out the temp micro thread forum via the link below and post your question there as a thread....you can subscribe to get updates to it via email, etc.

  • Hi coach,

Do you have a preference whether we use the micro thread or the micro forum? I don't mind reading others' questions; sometimes it informs my own training. I also suspect it's faster for you, but I leave it to you to let us know whether you plan to continue to support both.

    Ok - real question...

    I'm in HIM week 11.
Given that I know I'm going to be away from the bike and the pool for a week, I could get up super duper early on Saturday and fit in a workout - maybe 75m on the trainer.
When I'm so short on time and need to pack in a workout, should I pack in a VO2 bike workout or focus on FTP?
I'm thinking that because I'm forced into more general rest, that I'm best off packing in some training stress because I'll have the time to recover (whether I want that recovery time or not). Should I go back to the OS VO2 workout library for these special scheduling situations?

    Thank you!
    Russ
  • Coaches ... Most of us know not to respond to others' posts in the micro and macro threads. I assume the same rule will apply to these new "forums", but that's not explicitly stated in your intros to them. For the sake of future members, maybe that should be noted?
  • @Russell, it's not just sheer stress but cumulative and within the perspective of what you have been doing thus far. IOW, just nuking yourself for the sake of nuking yourself before resting isn't going to come from me -- you pay me to be better than that. IF you have 75 minutes, you can warm up and get most of the main set of your saturday day done (combine the FTP and do as much ABP when done as you can) and you are all set.

@Al, agreed...I added that into those thread introductions, thanks!
  • Folks, we are TEMPORARILY locking this thread so you have to post to the BETA MICRO THREAD FORUM over here:

    http://members.endurancenation.us/F...fault.aspx

This is only a test and we'll be in touch as to whether or not we completely make this switch or not...thanks!!!!
