    Coach P, there are days off?

  • Week 7 of 12 week HIM intermediate plan:

    Sunday has the exact 120 minute bike workout twice, no Saturday workouts at all.

    Good catch. Sunday is just one of those rides, keep the run. Saturday workout is this (to be added soon):

    MS:

    • 10' (2') ;FTP / z4-5
    • 12' (3') ;FTP / z4-5
    • 15' (4') ;FTP / z4-5
    • 12' (5') ;FTP / z4-5
    • 3 x 12' (2') ;80-85% FTP / z3; for each interval include 2' standing WITHOUT spiking the watts.
    • Remainder of time is 75-80% / z2 in the aerobars, practicing steady riding, no surges, constant power, etc.

  • Hi Patrick,

    Reposting again in case it got overlooked. Looks like there's an IM bike ride mistakenly placed in a HIM plan:

    Week 5 of 12 week HIM Intermediate plan:

    On Saturday, there is a 4.5 hr bike ride (Activity #127) listed for the HIM athletes. Normal ride is 3 hrs. Looks like an IM bike ride got mixed in here by mistake.

    Thanks,
    Amy

    Looking ahead at my next few weeks of training, the following caught my eye:

    • The same 4.5 hour ride, Activity (#127), is also listed for Saturday of Week 13 HIM Intermediate.
    • Week 15 has Sunday off (Hey I'm not complaining, but no Day Off activity to confirm)
    • Week 16 has no workouts for either Saturday or Sunday.

    Hello-

    Week 4 of 12 week HIM Intermediate plan:

    On Tuesday, there are 3 bike workouts listed. Two of them (Activity #1655) are for testing (Power Meter users pick option #1, HR Monitor users pick option #2). Then there is a 3rd bike workout (Activity #111) listed: 60 minutes of 3x15.

    I'm pretty sure we are not supposed to do 2 bike workouts on one day, corrrect?

    Thanks,

    Amy

    Coach P,

    Just wondering if you answered Amy's question regarding the bike workouts?  I am starting week four this coming week and was also wondering which workouts to do?  They have not yet been changed in the plan.   Also the weekly recources say week 12.  Thanks.

  • Hi, my Adv OS wk 20 - in the quick view 'click here to view.....' the saturday workout shows ride + test run on the saturday, other 2 formats are correct I believe -

    Saturday
    Bike - 60
    MS: 3 x 12 (4') @ 95-100%/Z4-5. Remainder of time at 80-85%/Z3

    Run - 60
    MS: 10k TT or Half Marathon; see what you can do! Enter Data into EN Data Tool.

  • I will make this a priority today (monday)...sorry this is taking so long! As a reminder, you should be able to see the PDF weeks in the old system...

    Here are the first few manually for you:

    HIM INT 12 wk plan = Week 5 HIM; 20 wk plan = Week 13...Sat Ride is:

    WU: 20-30' @ 65-70% / z1-2/ Easy

    MS:

    * 8' (3') @ FTP/z4-5

    * 10' (3') @ FTP/z4-5

    * 15' (3') @ FTP/z4-5

    * 10' (4') @ FTP/z4-5

    * 4 x 12' (2') @ 80-85% / z3; for each interval include 2' standing without spiking the watts.

    * Remainder of time at 75-80% / z2.

    Week 7 (12); Week 15 (20wk) Sunday Ride is:

    2:00 ABP ride followed by a 30' brick run as z1/LRP out, z2/MP back.

  • Hey guys- I saw this over in the General Training section and wanted to post it here to be sure you saw it:

    Herb Lamb:
    I am on Week 9 of 12 in the Beginner HIM Training Plan and the plan shows the Swim race rehearsal this week but the Bike/Run part of the race rehearsal is next week. Is this correct or should they both occur in the same week. By the schedule of the previous race rehearsal and from reading other postings about race rehearsals, I would assume that both of these should occur in week 10 of the training plan (4 weeks after the first RR). If that is the case, then item 1181 (Swim Race rehearsal) needs to be changed with items 1131 and 1190. Also, the Swim RR (item 1181) shows the IM distance for the swim instead of HIM distance.

    Thanks in advance for your clarification.

  • Thanks again, Nemo. I also forgot to mention that this is the 12 week Beginner HIM plan.

  • Coaches,

    Week 20 HIM beginner. Wednesday states Day off but has Run also listed 30'.  Is it a run or Day off?

    thanks for checking this.

  • One other quick thing for week 9 of 12 week Beginner HIM plan - there are two bike activities on Wednesday. One is a test and the other seems like a normal bike. These are activities 1246 and 162. I'm sure there is only supposed to be one here. I'm not sure which is appropriate for this week but I am doing the bike test because there was a run test in week 8. I am assuming that those should be done relatively close to one another. Thanks again.
  • For week 1 of the HIM Intermediate plan I'm seeing HIM week 9 video / audio's under the resources when I clicked on the video sure enough Rich is there telling me it's week 9.

    Robert / All, please remember we made 20 weeks worth of resources. So if you are on a 12 week plan, then your first week is actually Week 9 of the HIM schedule! image Sorry for the confusion!!!

  •

    HIM Intermediate 20 week plan:

    1. Look at week 13....has a much longer long bike than usual and alot of swimming yardage (looks like the IM Plan)

    2. Look at weekend of week 15 duplicated the long run adn no biking.....obviously a mistake.

  • Coach P,

    How do I access the old system and get the plans in .pdf format?

    Also, the swim workout for Friday in week 5 of the Intermediate HIM plan is an Ironman swim workout: 4100 yrds.

    As a side note, the midweek bike workouts for the next several weeks are the 30/30 VO2 max workouts. Suprised to see those again. Are these the correct bike workouts?

    These changes are pending, I can only do so much manually without tech-fu. Stay tuned.

    Amy -

    Please switch to the 20 week HIM plan, as that's what I have fixed, and there is no 4100 swim there.

    The 30/30s are correct; they have a place in your regular training as well!

    The PDF system is actually shut down (me thinks) for right now...I can send you the next few weeks...just PM me with what you need.

    P

    So, the 12 and 20 week plans are the same, right? If so, I'll just switch over to the 20 week (the end date would be the same either way!). Bonus: my podcasts will have the correct week #'s

    But, HIM Intermediate 20wk plan, Week 13 still has Bike-270 on Saturday (Activity #127).

    And it now has 3 runs listed for Week 15 on Sunday: Run-120 (Activity #145) is listed twice, and Run-30 (Activity #85)

  • Right the 12 and 20 week have the same final 12 weeks. The coaches went the extra mile to break the 20 week plan into a smaller race prep plan of 12 weeks to allow you to build your own custom plan around your season. The 20 week plan is really general prep 1, general prep 2, 12 week plan all stacked together.
  • Geoff, almost all of those are now fixed, thanks!
  • Not sure if this is correct or not so figured I would ask. Week 5 of HIM Intermediate plan. All three swims are exactly the same, Activity 1834. Could be correct but figured it is worth asking. Thanks
  • RnP,

    This about my 5th  post about the same issue - volumes in the intermediate IM plan are low starting in week 4 of 12 week plan.  It is a test week but shows a 3 hour bike on Saturday and a 2 hour bike on Sunday.  This seems low - maybe I am wrong but the beginner plan had a 4 hour and 3 hour ride for the same Sat/Sun.

    Week 20 HIM beginner on Wed. States day off but then has 30' Run also?

  • Switching over to the HIM Beginner plan next week (using 20 week plan and jumping into week 13). I seem to recall there being a swim hack for folks to adjust their swim workouts (like I'm using a beg plan, but I'm an Int swimmer) kinda deal. But I'm not seeing that hack in any of the resources. In fact, the only resources I see are the podcasts. Is that right?

  • About to switch to IM 12 week plan, so here are my final fix suggestions for Int OS.

    [TP2.0] OutSeason Plan, Intermediate Level, 20 Weeks

    Week 20 Sat run is supposed to be on Sunday (as per the PDF) Activity #811

    The downloads (1) video .mov and (2) audio .mp3 do not work. there is no link in the A tag.
  • Ok, one more thing, the plan change request form gives the following options for "Reason for Change":

    My "A" Race Has Changed
    I Need A New Ability Level
    My Season Has Ended & I Want To Train!
    My Season Has Ended, Place Me On Hold!
    I Am Injured & Need To Adjust

    Maybe two more options would make things easier, such as:

    I need to move to the next part of my Season Schedule

    Thanks Cary!  R&P- might be a good idea to just have a link to the wiki on the first week of the plans so folks know where to find the info.
