    Week 15 of the 20 week Intermediate HIM plan has an IM bike (Activity 1837) listed for Saturday as opposed to a HIM bike ride.

    MS1: 100, as 25 sprint, 75 easy, 15 rest 100, as 50 sprint, 75 easy, 15 rest 100, as 75 sprint, 25 easy, 60 rest 100 sprint, straight into an easy 50 Repeat 3 more times Set Total: 1600yd





     


     

    I'm guessing the part in red above should be 50 sprint, 50 easy?

     

     
  • Hi coaches... hope this is the right place for this post... week 6 of HIM (12 week, intermediate), Fri's swim doesn't add up.  By my calculations, we either do 2900y or 2600m.... not ~3200.  This is how it reads:

     

    Swim - 60

    Half RR Swim

    WU: 500y/m

    MS: RR swim, paced as you will do it on race day. Set Total: 2200yd, or 1900m

    CD: 200 Easy

    Total: ~3200 Record total time and pace per 100m/y

  • On HIM Advanced- Week 17 - Friday has same workout as Sat? thinking maybe a swim on Fri?

  •  Beg HIM 20 week Plan, Week 15 contains the following 3 Swim workouts:

    Activity 1154:  3100 meters

    Activity  1155"  3400 meters 

    Activity 1155:  3500 meters

    Week 16 contains the following 3 Swim workouts:

    Activity 1164:  3400 meters 

    Activity 1168:  3500 meters

    Activity 1170: 3300 meters

    Call me crazy - but that's a lot of time in the pool to train for a 1900 meter swim on race day!!  

  • I was confused by yesterday's swim (Monday of HIM week 7, activity 141).  This is what was posted:

    Swim - 60

    Speed

    WU: 500 yds/m

    MS1: 4 x 200 (30 ), last 50 of each is a sprint. 50 Easy

    MS2: 5 x 150 (20 ), last 50 of each is a sprint. 50 Easy

    MS3: 6 x 100 (15 ), Negative Split. 50 Easy

    MS4: 8 x 50 (15 ), as 25 sprint, 25 easy.

    CD: 200 easy

    Total: ~3000yds/m

    First, my confusion:  Were we supposed to essentially do the 50 easy after every 200/150, etc... so in reality we did 4x250, 5x200, 6x150?  If that's the case, the total volume for the workout would be 4000m, not 3000.  Not including the "50 easy's" into the equation at all, the total volume of the workout would be 3250, again, more than the posted 3000... so i couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do... and formulated my own plan with the time I had.

    FWIW - I jiggered it do do the 2d to last 50 of each as my sprint, then did the 50 easy as the last 50... because 4000m would have taken me way too long (the 3250 took me 1:07)...not to mention (as Nemo pointed out), that's a lot for a 1.2mi race.

  • Hi there!  Following up a response I just got in the "need feedback this week" thread.  I'm in HIM intermediate.  Wed of week 9 has 2 bike workouts listed.  The first is a test, the second is 75 minutes of intervals.  (activities 1246, 162).  The test box (activity 1246) lists 2 test options and says it's for FTP or LTHR... so, reading that I would have assumed, as a HR athlete, I do the 40 minute test (the second test option noted in the first box).  Do HR athletes test again?

    So either the second bike (activity 162) should be cut... OR, the first block should be edited to say that HR athletes don't test (which is how much test blocks read), removing the reference to LTHR.

  • No time in activity #1433.  For a double check I am on the beginner general prep block 1 week 2 and this is Tuesday's run.

    Well it has a time of 0 minutes.  the details in the run are there 15' wu 2X1 mile (if I recall correctly) then CD 5'.

    I assume that this is 50' total because week one was 45' and week 3 is 60'.

  • Is there an error on the Saturday and Sunday bike rides for week 4 of the Intermediate IM plan? The beginner and advanced have a four hour ride Sat. and 3 hours Sun., but the intermediate plan is three hours Sat. and two hours Sun. Is that correct?

    KEith, I fixed the Saturday ride and added right Sunday ride (3hrs). Will take a bit to delete the wrong sunday ride (2 hrs), FYI. Thanks!

    Also, it's listed as 60 minutes for 3300 I needed much more than 60 minutes image

    Swim activity #88 MS1 total should be 1950yd, and overall total 2850yds/m

    I just looked...workout seems fine to me. Maybe you are adding in the 400 from the warm up?  As for needing more than an hour, all the swim workouts are listed as 60 minutes...we can't get that detailed!

    • 2 x 500 (20 ) @ T-pace plus 3 seconds
    • 2 x 400 (15 ) @ T-pace plus 3 seconds
    • 2 x 300 (10 ) @ T-pace plus 3 seconds
    • 100 easy
    • Set Total: 2500

    That bike workout should ONLY be on Saturday, not both days. Friday is swim only. I have submitted the change, but it might take a while to get it done...thanks for your patience!

    Intermediate HIM week 19 FRiday swim says half rr swim; MS: RR swim, half of race distance.  Set total=2200 yds/1900 m.  I am confused about total yds/m if the main set is only half race distance, which would be 1400yds/800 m?  So, is the workout half the race distance or full race distance?

  • HIM intermediate, week 12, - Mon and Thurs swims are the same (code numbers 189, 193), but Mon says it's a 60min workout and shows the workout as 1800m; and Thurs calls for a 30 min workout and says the total is 1600m.  I'm guessing Thurs should be lighter?

    (also, Mon is missing a word - "easy" is missing at the end of one of the main segments)

  • Intermediate IM, Week 5, Sunday: The beginner and advanced both have 180 minutes on the bike, while intermediate is 120.
  • BEG IM Plan, Week 9 out of 20, Swim Workout# 1497 says:

  • On the Advanced HIM plan, week 17... I assume there are a couple errors, but maybe you'll correct me.

    Friday has "final swim race rehearsal" [activity 388]. Now that the Race Rehearsal has moved to week 18, I assume that should be moved to Friday of week 18. (I do not have access to week 18 online version yet.). I would have thought this would be either a normal swim or a 1000 TT, since that's a test week on the bike.

    Friday of week 17 has activity 368, a 3 hour bike ride with intervals, which is duplicated on Saturday, and there's a normal ABP ride [activity 1226] on Sunday. I assume you don't mean to pile up all three of those, but maybe I'm wrong!
