@Ray, I wanted to give you a head start, I'll see you in a few weeks I'm signed up for FL 70.3 but I'm about 99% certain I'm not going to be racing it. I have a lot of excuses but basically I didn't train well last month and am not where I need to be to justify driving down there to race. Plus the engine in my car blew up a couple weeks ago However, I am signed up for IMLP Camp and IMLP so I'll be seeing you around the forums quite a bit and seeing you there!
FUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The freakin Mad Austrian is on the FTP Board. BFD I led for a damn day. I want this to be age graded again! No more smack from me from now on it is yes Mr. Reiter, no Mr. Reiter, Can I get you a Gatorade Mr. Reiter? Wipe your brow Mr. Reiter?
Ooops sorry Ray I didn't know this is a "closed group" here BTW I like that idea of having some kind of age compensation!! I'm actually not traveling - they canceled my trip to Fremont so I can hopefully finish all 14 weeks of NOS!!
This is actually one of my biggest goals for this season -> Get that W/kg up ... but I'm focusing on my body composition now as I know this will give me a lot bigger benefit in the big picture. Maybe we can "cloak" my entry as I just want to use it for tracking so I feel more accountable of what I'm eating and drinking ... it's absolutely NOT a race against others here - it's a race against my-bad-attitude-self
I am doing the same. I just am having fun poking at everybody. At the end of the day I want to be lighter so I can RUN faster. There some pretty stout folks on the Board. Ms. Kori in particular!
Poking is fun and believe me gang that Kori can hang with the best of us. I have spent time cycling with Kori and she can shred some peeps legs so "beware" !
Just now catching up to this Watts/Kg club. Can't get in to the information on the google docs address I saw posted in thread. Just get a blank excell page with no data. Can you direct me to the right place. thx.
I just made some tweaks to the file to remove some of the little bugs. I color coded the files as well. You are only supposed to change cells that are highlighted in YELLOW. You are not supposed to change any cells that are highlighted in GREY. I tried to put some restrictions/protections on the file so it won't let you change cells that you are not supposed to change. Hard for me to test since I have full permission as the creator of the file. Let me know if it still works as far as allowing you to change the cells that you are supposed to.
Once your name is on the sheet, the only things you should change going forward are: 1) your weight weekly (on the weight tab) 2) your FTP whenever you actually test (on the FTP tab) 3) your W/Kg goal if that happens to change (on the weight tab)

This is awesome! Thanks, JW, for putting the spreadsheet together. It makes it real easy to track progress (or lack thereof in my case at least when it comes to kg part of the watts/kg equation) I added my name, FTP and weight to the spreadsheet but noticed my watts/kg data didn't fully populate on the watts/kg worksheet. I tried playing around with it a bit, but i'm not real familiar with google docs and didn't want to do something that i couldn't undo so i just left it as is.
In any event time to get to work…..I need +13 watts and -12lbs and both seem hard as hell!
Mark- All of your current data looks okay. There must be something wrong with the embedded formulas a couple of months out. I'll take a look at it when Incan get to a real computer again, which is probably tonight. But I have a couple of months before it effects any actual real data instead of just the junk placeholders...
I sure do find it odd that a few of you really lost so much weight in a week. Curious if any of the former NCAA all American wrestlers on the team know anything about getting DOWN in weight to be in another weight class??????
Just wondering.
Next Monday morning I am in the sauna for an hour pre weigh in.
@Big Brown-- I started my OS in December, so believe it or not, I was actually "supposed" to retest. I've also been eating SUPER CLEAN. This challenge is helping with that. I saw my lowest weight in 5 months this morning after my workout. Now if only I can stay disciplined until next week's official weigh-in I'll inch closer to my W/Kg goal...

I didn't read the dehydration protocol for the weigh in---wrestling procedures entering the cycling world
FWIW, many MANY yrs ago, I used to lose 18lbs for every single weigh-in. I have lost 8 lbs in an hour before. I have also gained 13 lbs in an hour before after a weigh in. I can tell you with 100% certainty that I will NOT be cutting weight to make it to 4.0! That kind of goes against the spirit of this whole thing because I'm really just trying to be faster in August when it matters and I certainly won't be cutting weight for my IM. You'll be happy to know that I drank 1.5 bottles of water this morning during my ~1 hr bike workout.
But if anyone wants to bet me a large sum of money that I can't still lose 8lbs in an hour or 18lbs of water weight in a day, I'll happily find a new toy to spend your money on!

PSST!
No trainer road pre-made workout so I said I'll do THREE 20's non stop.

@Mad man
I was just hoping you didn't know about it! Kind of like me winning a race cause you didn't show up!

Excited to be testing this week and hafta say this spreadsheet is highly motivational. More cowbell and thanks all for the mojo!

@Ray, @ JW - Thanks guys!
@Mark Glad to! Keep up the awesome job too!

@David I have been thinking the same thing.I guess you have to since Dino and John will test every other day.

@JW I bet you are very thirsty from that 4 pound drop of water weight

@JW I dropped the same pounds when I wrestled with a colonoscopy doctor.
