  • Hello, My name is Frank and I am from Suffield , Ct but live in Qatar which is in the Middle East. Been here for just over a year and have done 1 Oly here in Doha and also Challenge Dubai last year. I started Triathlons about two years ago just before I came out here. Niantic Sprint, Qaussy Oly and then IM Timberman two weeks before I left. Didn't think there would be any Triathlons out here but found a Tri club here that does a little training. Will be doing IM Dubai on Jan 29th so in the middle of training for that. Will be returning home for good in July so might be doing IM Timberman again but still thinking about it. Looking forward to meeting some new people and training with EN
  • Name: Bill
    Location: Kansas
Goals: Have another fun triathlon season and be injury free
I'm active duty Army and travel a lot. I know I wont be able to set any PRs due to my schedule, however, I want to race and have fun.
  • Hi everyone, brand new member and I go by Ever, real name too long. Live in York, PA about 40 mins north of Baltimore. I have purchased the plans in the past to great success and I am coming onboard the team for the first time and excited about it. I have a half marathon and olympic tri as fun events with the Rev 3 in Williamsburg in July and the Patriot 1/2 in Williamsburg (I like Williamsburg, what can I say) as my A races for the year. Going to purchase a new race bike for the first time in over 8 yrs so would like some help from team members on Cervelo and QR experiences. Happy New Year to all.
  • Welcome to the team Evar. If you're signed up for some Rev3 races, make sure that Mariah knows. I think you Rev 3 guys on the team get some good swag (trucker hat?) and maybe some special consideration on race day.
  • Hi everyone, brand new race member right here! I go to school in Upstate NY about 30 minutes north of Syracuse. My A race this year is Rev3 Williamsburg. I hope to add more to the list!
  • My name is Kristen I am from Salt Lake City UT and I am new to EN. I am checking out the team based on the recommendation of a fellow club member from the SLTC. I am a mother to a 4 year old boy and 2 year old twin girls. I also work Saturdays as an occupational therapist in a rehab facility. I just finished my first Ironman a few months ago and have been doing triathlons since 2009. I have done about 17 sprint and olympic and 2 half Ironmans and 2 Ironmans with one DNF after the bike due to racing sick with bronchitis. I have also qualified for age group nationals a couple of years ago. Until this last year I had a coach, so I know that having a training plan and coaching makes a huge difference. I am here because last year I ended up over-trained and barely squeaking over the finish line of my IM. I know that I am capable of a much better finish than that and it is not necessary to spend hours upon hours training to see good results. This is why I wanted to check out endurance nation and change to a better approach. I am doing Ironman St. George 70.3 in May and the endurance North face challenge 50 mile trail run in September with a few sprint and Olympic tri's and trail races sprinkled in between. To say I am endurance junkie is an understatement.
  • Hi everyone! My name is Tricia, I live in San Jose, CA and I'm signed up for the Vineman 70.3 this year. I'm a Team in Training alum (participant, mentor, and tri coach), a sports dietitian, and a spin instructor in the Bay Area. I've been doing tris since 2004, but had a baby and an injury in 2012 and so it's been a few years since I've been able to train for a longer distance race. Looking forward to getting back into the swing!
  • Hi! My name is Gerry. I'm from Phoenix, AZ and just joined EN.

  • Hi all- Carole from Cambridge, MA. Just joined as I'm ramping up training for my first IM--Lake Placid, with Rev3 Quassy as a tuneup. Excited to get going, and it's glorious that it's February and I ran outside in short sleeves yesterday! Looking forward to (virtually) meeting folks, happy training all!
  • Hello, my name is Jim Helie, I'm new to EN and am looking forward to getting to know all and hopefully will understand how the site works. I'm signed up for ironman Louisville , this will be my first full iron distance. I hope with EN's help to have a great race.
  • Just finished my 30-day trial. Joining ClubEN. I'm The Newbie. I have my first Sprint in 12 days. Then another Sprint at the end of July, and an Olympic in September. I live on the South Shore of Long Island, NY. I'm 46, and came to Triathlon through spending time with my kids (One loves to bike, another runs, and a third wanted to swim with me when I said "if I'm biking and running, why not find a pool and do a triathlon!")
  • Welcome Howard! You have chosen wisely. You will have the best chances of reaching your full potential in da house!! The EN family is great, and the mojo is huge for getting through the tough times and praise during the good. Take full advantage of all the resources and forums. - Ed
  • Hey I'm Steph and I live in South Florida. I was an ENer last year, did my first 70.3, had a few injuries and didn't get my Ironman in. This year I will! Feeling good and ready to hit it.

    Cheers!

  • How's it going everyone? Pretty excited to be a part of the team.. Being down in Panama City beach not many folks find tri training fun when high priced drinks on the beach is much easier to do. Got into the sport back in October of 2015 and have been wanting to do tri's for the past 5 years but could never afford a bike. Luckily a friend of mine was transferring and finally just gave me his. Have completed two races in April and just waiting for my big race with my wife, Miami 70.3. Goals for this year is to pick up speed on and gain more confidence in my run, and also work on body comp for race weight. Any tips and tricks for a first year athlete will all be welcome. I will keep you all posted on status.
  • Hey Tim, welcome. If you haven;t already given it a look, the following page in the wiki is a good place to start thinking about progressing through the initial phases of triathlon:

  • Hi Kirk, just joined living in Zürich, getting back into Triathlon after a break and scheduling a couple of HIM next season, this season is just the pain of getting back into it!!

Glad to be on board and giving a little European perspective...althougha sa Brit we are no longer part of Europe :-)
  • Hi all,
I'm new to en. Excited to be part of the team. I'm in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. I've completed 4 70.3's, and a bunch of marathons. Last 70.3 last week. Want to complete 140.6 next season, thinking rev3 cedar point or Louisville. Need to get this done ---been on the bucket list since I saw it on TV in the early 80's.
    All the best Jim

  • Welcome Kirk and Jim!
  • I think I'm supposed to check in here. I'm Dave Holmes 64 from Slocomb Alabama. It's taken me two days and Anne's constant help to finally get the sign in right. Now my bed time so I'll add more personal info later. image
  • As a follow up I've done two 70.3s this year and two 1/2 marathons an Olympic and a sprint with a sprint coming up. I've also ridden two centuries. Planning to do IronmanFL in 2017. So far I really enjoy this ream approach. Looking forward to next season.
  • Aloha Teammates!

A quick message to introduce myself. My name is Howard and I am a new member as of about 2.5 weeks ago. I am in the US Army and currently stationed in Hawaii. I have been involved in the sport of triathlon for about 4 years and have completed 2 Ironmans, 3 half IMs, and several sprints and olympic distance races. I am an avid runner with many marathons and ultras under my belt (including 3 100-milers). Super excited to be a part of the group, for with my recent move from the east coast, I thought joining EN would be the best way to stay engaged with great folks in the Tri community, and get some pinpoint help at improving my training and especially some expert guidance at bringing it all together to help me achieve my goals for the next year. Short term, I'm balancing recovery from a stress fracture in my foot and training for Ironman Arizona in November. Long term, I'm aspiring to become a much better swimmer and more efficient cyclist to tackle Kona before departing Hawaii.

    Let's "go get it!"
  • Welcome to TeamEN and looks like you landed at a nice duty station. I look forward to hearing of your progress.
