Hi all, I have been running for 30 years or so, but am new to triathlons. I did two Olympic tris last year, and completed my first HIM earlier this month. I have a lot to learn in terms of skills, speed, and logistics, but am excited about engaging with this complicated multistory endeavor. I look forward to learning from all of you- especially how to fit in the training with work, parenting, and being a decent spouse! Kristina
Good evening all, The trial period sold me on joining EN this weekend! I currently live in The Woodlands, Texas but originally from the Texas Panhandle (figured the many people from Texas will know about this dry desolate place). My interest in triathlons and other endurance sports started while being drug into working out with a guy training for an IM during college a few years ago. I never jumped into doing any events but really enjoy the workouts and the challenges. Fast forward a few years and I have completed two half marathons and two full marathons. I have also been riding and swimming a lot again and have enjoyed getting back into it. Was also talked into doing a sprint tri earlier this year and did really good considering it was a very small event. Since then I have just enjoyed training and doing mini triathlons (only against myself and on little courses I make up) on my own to see how much faster I can do them every now and again. Now I am ready to actually get on a plan and see about doing this right and doing some longer distance races later this fall! Anyway…just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I look forward to getting to know everyone! Roddy
Hi all. Name is Brett Adams from Stillwater MN. Signed on to the EN trial membership tonight. Wanted to give this a try and see if I can train smarter with the coaching provided here. My 3rd Ironman will be in Arizona in November. 2 previous finishes at IM Wisconsin in 2010 and 2013. I would like to train smarter and less yet improve my time. I will be interested to see what EN has to offer.
Hi! I am from PA. EN was recommended to me through a mutual friend of a member who has seen great results with the training! I just completed my second Ironman 70.3 Eagleman, with the 2nd being disappointingly slower. I am registered for Ironman Cozumel on Nov 30 so I am hoping that EN can help me reach the finish line!
Hi my name is Chris Sebastian live in Fort Worth, Tx . I'm married with 2 children. Daughter 23 yrs old in collage, and Son 19 serving in the US Navy. I'm a Avionics Technician for Southwest Airlines in Dallas Tx, and love my job and company. Have been doing Triathlons for 3 yrs now. Done multiple sprints, 1 olympic, 2 Half's and 1 Full (Ironman Cozumel 2013). My big race this year is Ironman Tahoe, and look forward to meeting the group in Tahoe this year. Hope the weather is better this year.
Giving EN a try! Just signed up for the Raleigh 70.3 half ironman today and figured that I probably needed some support.
I'm 29 years old and have been doing mostly running for the last few years and wanted to move towards triathlon. Looking forward to becoming more involved!
Hi All, I'm here on my 7 day trial. I have just finished my 3rd triathlon season culminating in finishing IM Wisconsin! I'm a 48 year old female, I work full time, married, and have a 10 year old daughter. I've had a local coach for the last 2 years, and I've really made a lot of improvements, but I want to give EN a try during the off season and maybe continue from there. The biggest thing I need to work on is my pace. I have the endurance to go for almost 17 hours, but I feel like a turtle. I also would like to make better use of my power meter, rather than just FTP and power zones. I am thinking of doing more half irons next year rather than focusing on the full distance.
Hello all! My name is Rob and I am from San Diego, but just moved to Monterey for graduate school. I'll be stationed in Monterey for the next two years. Active duty Navy.
I heard about EN at the 4 Keys talk in Lake Tahoe last week....yes I was at the start line for the IRONMAN Full 10 minutes before the start when they canceled the event. Already signed up for another, actually 2 full's and a 70.3.
I did my first Triathlon while on Deployment when my ship pulled into Abu Dhabi, UAE. We signed up online a few weeks before we pulled in and a few of us officers onboard and one of my guys did it. The race took place n the F-1 Race Way at the YAS Marina Circuit.
On another Deployment I did a 1 month max miles triathlon on a gym in the middle east and got 1st place. Then I was really hooked. When I got home last February I was all signed up for Lake Tahoe and training hard in San Diego. I joined Triathlon club of San Diego to train with others.
Now i'm in monterey and I have not found a Tri Club. I really enjoyed the 4 Keys talk and I like how I can get coaching without having to go to meetings or drive anywhere. Being able to do the training on my own schedule helps me a lot. I don't have much time with Graduate School, Family and trying to maximize tri training time.
Thank you so much for welcoming me to the club. Look forward to talking and training with all of you.
@Rob - Welcome to "Da Haus"! You will find that there is a tremendous amount of information here! Recommend you go to the wiki and start a reading program! This EN self-coaching is well-suited to someone who is motivated and disciplined, i.e., a Military professional!
My name is Tyler, I am 27 and relatively new to Tri. I entered a couple fun races about 5 years ago, then got busy with grad school (Physical Therapy), then recently jumped into Tri this season. I raced a couple Olympic distance races and one Half IM (4:44). I was planning on racing IMLT....
Good to have you as an EN teammate as well as a NOW Bikes teammate. It will be great to have a local person in sync with my workouts, even though I am not doing another Ironman next year.
Just officially joined EN after trailing them last year. At the time, I was prepping for IMFL with a great coach and ultimately decided that I needed to stick with my coach rather than change mid-stream. Then after IMFL, I was burned out in a major way and basically took Feb to Sept off from structured training.
Back now though. And hoping I can get back into my former racing shape. OS plan, here we come.....
I am Eric. New to EN just this week, and looking for a better way to get it done. I am from Mequon Wisconsin (Milwaukee area).
Tri Experiance: Started in 2008 after loosing 110 lbs (notice the after part). Now it is in my lifestyle raced every thing from sprint to Iron, running and road cycling. Significant races to me.
2011 London ITU Worlds test event for the Olympics - Lottery Slot
2011 IM Wisconsin - First IM
2012 IM Louisville - IM PR for me, on a day it ranged north of 100
2013 IM Tahoe - Toughest thing I have ever done in my life.
Hello All! My name is Matt and I join EN a couple of days ago after stalking EN on the podcasts for several months. I have only done a total of 4 sprint triathlons over the past year and I plan on doing HIM St. George and IM Arizona in 2015. Yesterday I did my 5k run test and I will be doing the bike test tomorrow. I am truly looking forward to working with Team EN on our Triathlon Journey.
Hey everyone, I'm Terry from Swan River, Manitoba, Canada. Just went through my first week with the run and bike test. 2015 will be my third year of triathlons. I've done 1 sprint, a few Olympics, and 2 70.3s.
For 2015 I am signed up for oceanside 70.3, and planning on Ironman Canada at the end of July.
My name is Erin and I'm 35 y/o. I live in beautiful Traverse City, MI. I've been doing tris since 2006 where I started out with a sprint tri (where i was the last one out of the water). I moved up from there! I've done 3 IMs so far. I started with the original St George in 2010. People called me crazy for picking that one as my first but I did finish with some time to spare. Two years later I did Coeur d'Alene, then last month I did Chattanooga.
I've been self coached so far but decided since I've qualified for Long Course Worlds in Sweden, a coach would give me better direction than what I have been able to do myself. Looking forward to learning and training!
I'm Becky, from central IL. My first triathlon was in 2004, a local sprint. I've done a couple since and would like to step up for a bit more of a planned season.
I would love to complete a full IM, but for 2015 getting up to HIM distance seems to be plenty challenge for now. I'm a runner at heart, and enjoy swimming. Biking is relatively new so I've got a lot to learn.
Not sure what I want as far as a group or training plan, but would love to poke around for a week. Happy training, all!
Hey everyone. I actually joined last winter but immediately came down with a "mystery illness" so I cancelled. I was sick 9 months with high fevers, fatigue, and weight loss. I've been well for a little over a month now and am back up to 50 miles on the bike and 8 miles or so running. 2014 was a complete waste. I pulled out of all races so I'm EXTREMELY excited about being back with EN and to race in 2015. I hope to get to know a bunch of you. Take care and talk with you soon.
I am completely new to triathlon from Upland, CA (near Los Angeles). Doing an Ironman triathlon has been on my "bucket list" for about 5 years, but I finally signed up in September 2014 for Ironman Lake Tahoe in 2015 and am planning on doing three 70.3s in 2015 and a 2nd Ironman.
I am husband and father of 2 boys (4 year old and 6 mo old) and am planning to get my family into triathlon as well. My 4 year old wants me to get him a tri bike for Christmas but "with training wheels" and some biking shoes, his words not mine. Santa and I will see what we can do.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you out at the races.
Welcome, and you are in an all in kind of guy. I finished Tahoe as my 3rd Ironman in 2013, and without a doubt the toughest thing I have ever done in my life. The Four Keys speech for Tahoe is great, and I would highly recommend riding the course in advance if possible.
I'm Rachel. I'm a Canadian... beer drinker, interior designer and triathlete. I'm currently living with Team Member Adam Hughes in the UK, but we are really just [temporarily relocated to the UK] members of the Ottawa Sleeper Cell (right B???).
I'm doing my first HIM this May in Mallorca. Adam's race in Exmoor gave me the bug to make the jump from short course. This is year four (I think???) of Triathlon for me.
Greetings. I have long thought about joining EN ever since I attended the pre race Keys talk in 2013 at IM Wisconsin.
I have been into triathlons since 2010 starting with Sprints, moving to Olympics in 2011, my first Half in 2012, and then completed IM Wisconsin in 2013 and 2014. I've been floundering these past two months since Madison and have gained 13 lbs even with a PR marathon at the beginning of this month. I need some structure or I'm scared I will get too lazy and stop working out. I used to be over 300lbs in 2008 and can quickly gain weight if I am not careful.
I followed the 4 keys in both of my races and was very happy with my results. 12:07 this last time.
I'm 49 years old, married (25th Anniversary coming up). We have two children, our son is a Junior at UW Madison and our daughter is a Junior in High School here in Holmen Wisconsin.
I tend to lurk more than participate online, I'm a strong introvert. I know thought that I benefit from interacting with other triathletes and look forward to trying this out for awhile.
Key race for next year is IM Louisville. I will take a two week break from training in early July to go to Europe with my bride to celebrate our 25th. A successful trip will mean little if any IRONMAN training during the vacation.
Hi everyone! My main goal for 2015 is finishing my first IM at Chattanooga. I'll also be racing Chatt 70.3, my 5th HIM. Looking forward to learning lots from the team!
Hello all I am Uriah Eddingfield and I live in Indianapolis. I have do Munice Half Ironman several times as well a many half marathons. My goal for the season is to complete IM Louisville and have a great season.
Hello my name is Sebastian. I'm new I raced ppd beach to battleship 70.3 last year and fell in love with triathlons. I live in connecticut I'm originally from North Carolina I'm in the military. This year I plan on racing Raleigh 70.3, timberman 70.3, and ppd beach to battleship full iron distance. My wife is planning on running her first triathlon at ppd beach to battleship this year as well.
My name is Michael Michelangeli, I'm 30 years old and relatively new to Tri. I have done several sprints, and long triathlons and I did IM Wisconsin on 2013. Last year I planned to to Lake Tahoe Half IM but it got cancelled at the last second.
For this season I'm planning to do Lake Victoria Half IM, and Black Diamond Half IM. The goal will be to do it in a decent time (not sure what that is yet)....

Hi all,
Excited to be here. Want to up my performance for 2015 and my buddy Simon Shurey suggested that this would be a great place to do that.
Completed a number of races slowly, now want to up my game considerably.
Goals for 2015:
Sub 13 hr IM and sub 6:15 half. Get racing weight down to 225lbs.
Dennis

I DNF IMTX last year. It was terrible. Time to up my game! I've had a wonderful coach the past few months, but she spoke VERY highly of EN.
Looking forward to getting to know you all!!!
