    Love the mojo flow.....

     Thank you.

If anyone wants an 8x11 photo of the poster, let me know in a PM with your address. Easy enough to print and send out to keep up the mojo.

  • Love the pics, Michelle and Kitboo!

  • 20 weeks out from WI is 25 April.. FYI and knowing that AUGUST will be our heaviest and hottest month of training!! it is stinkin' hot here ... I   June 20th is 12 weeks out FYI.

also looking at local event/races and possible vacation and how they sync up with the IM plan, which no I haven't seen.... last year it was either 12 weeks or 20.... so last time I checked, there wasn't a plan posted... ie, when to quit the OS, do a transition and then what the IM plans looks like... like the nuts and bolts of when/how long the bike rides, epic weekends et... am I missing this document?? or train map?? wiki? if it is out there, please post here! thanks. I have put on my online google calendar, week 1, 2, 3 etc leading up to week 20 of race weekend, also adding in IMMOO camp...which is the "10 weeks left to race day" category.

i am now poking around in train map and found some docs but if you girls have it figured out, let me know.  the doc has links to other blogs and posts here and there.....

*current status, training at almost zero and getting piriformis taken care of..... target is 1 February!!! lol

  • Marianne- the guys just posted a new tool called something like "Season Planning Tool" ( I can't remember it exactly, but it's something like that). Patrick has a Thread started about it as well since they want feedback on the tool. You'll find it in the Train Map under the "Start" Station in the "Downloads" section. Take a little time reviewing that and I think you'll get the idea.

Also- the guys posted a podcast a little while ago that talked a bit about changes coming for the new plans. I know there was a thread in here somewhere about that too because when I listened to the podcast I was pretty excited to hear about some of the really good changes coming.

In short- the plans will be 12 weeks long- and the RR weekends will be moved back a week so they fall 3 & 6 weeks before race day. So I think that's gonna be the weekends of 8/7 and 8/21 if I understood them rignt.
  • will check where you said to.  I have used the excel spreadsheet and all it really allows is that: 230 days til race day. and yes I am type A!

    July 8 - 11 is IMWI camp

6/20 is the start of our 12 week race plan

6/13 allows one week transition before it begins (family vacation deadline!)

or 6/6 allows for 2 weeks (good time for vacay?!)

and before that we have a 4 - 12 week "basic month plan"

and before that a 20 week outseason....and mine started Jan 1 so I will come back to this.... I want to see how each week until race day pans out... the training load and the recovery weeks and factor in centuries and races so that I can sign up... and family stuff/trips.  would be nice to have the OS, basic and IM tng plan all before us to plug in.

  • Hi:

I'm a new EN member and will be joining the EN Cowgirl Posse for IM Moo in September. I am excited to do the race and to eventually meet all the Cowgirls either at the race or at camp (if possible).

    Joanna
  • Joanna- Welcome to the corral !!

  • Welcome Joanna! We are going to have a blast. I am doing it just so I can see Rich in the pink speedo!
  • Help!  How do you use the spreadsheet to create your own plan?  I am so computer illiterate.  Must learn this stuff.

Marianne, you are right.  Looks like IMWI folks begin Race Prep on June 21.  I am figuring I have around 11 weeks from the end of OS (which I started in Nov) until Race Prep for IMMOO.  So, I am thinking out loud here, but I am tossing around the idea of staying OS until the end of March; tranisiton for two weeks brings me to Mid april to begin General Prep for 7-8 weeks of HIM training until my HIM on June 12.  But, then I still have two more weeks before race prep....not sure.  I should prolly go to macro level thread and get some feed back there.

OH and does any know if we have to let RNP know all this stuff or will they contact us individually and automatically find the HIM plans on my dashboard...prolly stoopid question....just throwing it out there for all the wicked smart members :&#160image

  • Nemo--I am not seeing the download? Start button on the train map, right? I'd like to plug stuff in.

Kathy--don't despair, none of us know how things will appear magically. 4.0 is new to all of us. So many resources here I'm not taking full advantage of because it's so much to digest! Pecking away...

  • Linda- Yeah, if you go to the Start section of the Train Map, there should be a Download section. There's a paragraph at the bottom of the Download section with a bunch of links- each link is a piece of the new tool (a pdf, an excel spreadsheet, and a video explaining it all).

Kathy- I think at some point we are gonna put in our own dates and somehow this all falls into place. But I'm not totally sure! Like Linda said, the new 4.0 format is kinda new to everyone so we are all learning as we go here!
  • This is what makes me nutz, then I give up. I do not see what I need in the download section. Will try and find P's thread. It's obviously me being a dolt.

  • You are not a dolt!  It's there, it's just kinda mixed in with other stuff.

Look under the category "Self Coaching Materials" for the little paragraph like this:

    Season Planning Tookit

Download the PDF instructions and overview here, as well as the intro video. When you are ready to begin, then you can click on the following links to download the Spreadsheet Toolkit and instructional screencast.

  • Monday, okay girls I believe that information is forthcoming to help us plan our schedules even more from our beloved coaches! please wait a few days.... Thanks. Kathy note that transition weeks one and two are built in to the plan (found in that Excel spreadsheet) so you should be good and not have to worry about those two weeks that come prior to race prep week #1.  I would surmise that with our monthly payment comes the training plans as it has been done for the OS... I think this group's goal is to ensure that we all know when we are doing what!!  someof us started OS earlier so would have more HIM weeks or Base weeks depending on races preceding the IM.....  I am now not going to worry about anymore calendaring until further EN notice from the coaches.....  any info, ping it back here!

Joanna welcome.....  we will have a great crowd of EN chicks going up there!!  and looking forward to the whole thing.  I am sure a race specific group will be started that will include the men in da HAUS but for now, we just like getting to know each other here!!  okay girls, gotta scoot..... m

  • Thanks Chickas!  Just got to be patient I guess.

  • yep yep yep, I think good info in those docs/vids that Nemo recommended and I spent some time this morning viewing and printing off that 20 page doc.. easier for me to read than on computer. I have also googled local tris/races/rides here in my state and plugged those into my google personal calendar and then when I get more EN info I can see if any of those will work.
  • Thanks Nemo! Time to start paying attention! Except for Patriot and Moo, I have no idea what weeks fall when. image

  • Rich in a pink speedo! As if I need more incentive beyond the poster. image
  • Ok,Kathy I think you are next on the list for the Cowgirl poster. Can you please email me your info to my PM: k8trigirl@hotmail.com
I can't seem to get the message function to work on the 4.0.
