I am Peter. I started in triathlon at the beginning of 2013. So far I have done a sprint and an Olympic along with handful of running only races, just did my first half marathon a few weeks ago. I am doing the Austin 70.3 on October 27, Oceanside 70.3 in March 2014 and Coure D'Alene in June 2014!
Married to an amazing woman and we've got six kiddos (four biological & two adopted).
Got into triathlons this year and have really enjoyed them. They have been a great outlet for my competitive spirit. I've done a handful of sprints so far.
In terms of what's on the calendar: I've got an Olympic distance race in September & am signed up for IM70.3 in Austin (10/27/13) & IM70.3 Oceanside (3/29/14).
Looking forward to learning from this site and from you guys.
Hi everyone, I am looking forward to getting to know you! I am fighting my way back into the sport - I had a ninth concussion in 2008 that kept me on the sidelines for ~ 4 1/2 years. The good news is the headaches are FINALLY gone so I have signed up for IM Canada in 2014, which is 25 years after my first IM in Penticton BC in 1989! A lot seems to have changed since my last one in 2007 (IMFL) but I am excited to learn from everyone and get back into the community!
Hi all. My name is Steve Archer. I am a new member on a referral trial from a friend in my tri club, Triathlon Racers of Iowa (TRI). I have been doing triathlon for three years, which I started after starting a running program and losing 60 lbs and creating a new lifestyle.
This season I completed two half ironman races and improved tremendously between the two races so I am hooked now! I have a wife and three kids that I would like to keep happy while training for next season and my first 140.6 in September 2014. (Rev3 CedarPoint) so that is why I am here, to learn how to do this and have a life too!
Hi Brad, Welcome! Nice to see a fellow GTA'er. I'm from the opposite end, Whitby. this group is awesome. I finished my first IM in August and followed the protocol to a tee. Had an amazing first race and looking forward to killing it in the OS! Let me know if you need any feedback as a local.

Hello All! My name is Michael and I just joined from the "Refer a Friend" deal. I've been out of the sport for about 5 years and have just been running during that time. I've completed all tri distances except for the full. It's always been a goal since I was a kid (I'm 41 now) and I've been sucked back into the sport due to a couple of close friends completing their first full IM. Three of my friends are members of EN and have had nothing but great things to say about it. I'm looking forward to training with two of them as we work towards IM Texas in May, 2014.
I am from Toronto, Ontario, and come to EN via Lake Placid. A word of explanation - my son and I have been doing a father/son hockey camp in LP for years now, and this year's camp was on the end of IMLP. Seeing the activity and buzz made me think, "hey I want to do the IM in LP". So signed up for IMLP 2014, also signed up for the EN Lake Placid camp in June with Coach P, and look forward to training and chatting with all you nice folks through EN.
This will be first my IM and my goal is to finish standing up with a big smile for my daughter and my son who will be with me in LP. At 53 years of age, I luckily qualify for the "Boomers and Beyond" forum and welcome all advice for us 50-ish athletes.
Hi from the UK! I'm Graham and am new to EN. I have been surviving triathalons for the last 3 years, starting off with sprint distance. Completed Challenge Roth long distance in Germany this year - loved the experience but have unfinished business on the run, so will be back for more. I'm now enjoying actually "racing" (or in my mind going as fast as I can) and not coming in the bottom 10% of events and looking to learn more about time crunched effective training
For 2014 am planning cycling, cycling, and more cycling (my weakness) and completing 2 HIM and one possible IM (not yet decided).
My name is Alix and I live in Ohio-yeah! Im a runner/biker trying to just like the swim. Ive done one IM and I fell completely apart but I finished. Signed up to do IM Boulder next August so I want to feel good entire time and train accordingly. Im always racing something so the list goes on and on.
Hi all, New Member here: Bob Hiller, Maineville, Ohio. Next year, 63 in triathlon years. Looking forward to coaching from Patrick and Rich and following the training and racing of other members. A little about me. I've been doing tri's since 1983. Hawaii Ironman 1989, Ironman Canada 1997. More recently, 2010 Syracuse 70.3 and 2013 Raleigh 70.3. Doing 2014 Raleigh 70.3 and 2014 Ironman Mont-Tremblant.
My name is Mandy Midgett and I live in the Southern Pines area in North Carolina. I started racing in tri's in 1995, and planning my 4th IM for IMCDA in 2014. Looking forward to taking my training to the next level!
My name is AnnMarie Mckelvey. I am married and have two very cute little girls. My goal is to get back where I was before having my babies. I am a newbie at this sport all together, but I have a feeling I'll do just fine.
My family and I live in Colorado Springs. I work for the military as a Military Intelligence Officer. Since I don't have a base line for my training this should make this training season leading up to IM Boulder very interesting. I look forward to seeing what everyone has to say, and entering into my first training season with some good knowledge behind me.
Hello All; my names Jonathan and I live in Nor Cal (central valley). My background is in rockclimbing/mountaineering but was bitten by the endurance bug last summer. Trained for and ran my first Marathon early 2013. Bought a bike, started swimming with the local masters group in July and did my first tri (700yr swim, 18mile bike, 4mile run) about a month ago. Was a middle of the pack swimmer and finished 48/271 overall. felt great, had a great time and am ready for more racing. Looking at Vinemall Full next summer (it's on my birthday), or Tahoe. Married, two boys and work in supply chain/logistics.
I am a new member living in Issaquah, Washington (outside of Seattle). I am married with three kids, turn 40 for next season. I used to weigh 292 lbs (summer 2011) but have lost 70 of that. I raced one sprint last summer, and decided this tri thing was for me; this year I did Ironman 70.3 Boise (7:01 ouch) and Black Diamond 70.3 (6:35 less ouch but still) along with an Oly and a sprint.
I joined EN to get to 5:30 and do an Ironman. And learn how not to cramp up on the run. Looking forward to it!
Andree here from Alexandria, Louisiana. Mom, wife, attorney and triathlete. Looking to improve my half IM time at Galveston in 2014. I've been doing mostly sprints since 2009. Currently on the 7-day trial membership. Hoping the team training approach is for me. Looking forward to the next 7 days an possibly longer!
Welcome everyone! Just to vouch for the team training, it is an aspect I didn't expect to value so much! I had a rough year and spent many months searching for my motivation- the encouragement I got from the team was awesome, always positive, never mean like you would find on slowtwitch. Whenever you have a question, you have a zillion people with a variety of experiences to answer it for you. And the team feel out on a course is AWESOME! Coaches have built a quality community here of great people with very good answers to any possible triathlon question (and possibly life question) you might have.
Hey , my name is Jan Schorpion. My wife and I live in Conshohocken, PA. We are both physical therapists, have been doing triathlons for 4 years, mostly olympic and half iron distance and looking forward to our first IronMan Canada in July 2014.
My name is Jud and I am one of the foolish people trying to do triathlon in a northern climate. There are a few of us who race triathlons in the Yukon, Canada, but it is not the easiest place to train with so few hours of daylight in the winter. Ironman CDA 2014 will be my third long race and I would like to take some time off my last two. I am looking forward to meeting other people who enjoy the suffering and joy that triathlon has to offer.
Greetings new teammates! You are already on the right track by introducing yourselves. Make sure you follow the steps on the new member instructions as soon as possible. When I was new I dragged my feet and feel like I missed out by not engaging immediately http://members.endurancenation.us/Resources/NewMemberWelcome.aspx Once again welcome and see you at the races!
Hello everyone, I'm Christina Davis and I live in The Woodlands, TX with my very supportive husband and two little boys. I started triathlons two years ago and fell in love with the sport. I grew up swimming and picked up running as an adult so triathlons seemed liked a good fit for me. I'm excited to get started with Endurance Nation and I'm excited to complete my first Ironman in CDA 2014.
Hi, I'm Jan Van Oyen from Belgium my age is 51, and I started with triathlon around 5yrs ago Did my first full distance triathlon in 2012 (Challenge Roth: 10hrs50'), and this year my second one (Ironman Kopenhagen: 10hrs28') I just want to get faster ... of course ;-) hope EN can help me with that

Hey EN! My name is Laura Becker and I'm new to EN. I live in Connecticut with my husband and I'm an elementary school teacher. I started off as a swimmer, began running, tried out biking and started competing in triathlons! I have done only sprint and Olympic distances but I am looking forward to training for my first HIM Syracuse in June and full IMLP in July 2014! My friend Chris referred me to EN and says so many wonderful things about this community. I am excited to meet new people and be a part of a group that is passionate about such an amazing sport!
Hello EN! My name is Brook Wheeler. I live and train in Minnesota. I am doing my 3rd full distance at Ironman Boulder 2014. I trained on my own for my first two (both Wisconsin), so looking forward to the structure, knowledge and information sharing in this group. I am very excited for what 2014 will bring!!
Hi everyone! My name is Susan Ogilvie and I am planning on my first HIM at Rev3 Wisconsin Dells next summer. I just moved to Michigan with my husband and 2 girls after 15 years in Colorado and it's been a big change. I have done many sprints and a few Olympics, and I completed my first trail half marathon in March. My racing interests move all over the place, and I am interested in Team EN's approach and hopeful it will be a good fit for me.
I'm Dan from New Hampshire. I'd been thinking about doing a triathlon for over 20 years, and finally this summer did one, mostly to take a break from running. Well, now I can't stop dreaming triathlon (both when awake and when asleep). Not sure where to go from here or how to balance home and work life with training, but potentially planning some HIM's in 2014 and possible IM in 2015.

Hi.

- DPLWe've got a great group here. Take some time to explore the place.
I'm not sure if we have an Austin 70.3 group set up, I will be there doing my best to represent EN.
Good luck this season!
