My name is Tom, I live in Ann Arbor, MI. I have been doing tri's for about 5-6 years, all short distance and finally got the nerve to sign-up for an Ironman. I am prepping for IMWI in 2014. I found this place looking for some training help and really liked what I heard!
Happy to be a part of the community here and I hope to maybe run into some of the MI EN Athletes sometime.
Hi all. My name is Kim McKenzie. I am from Auburn CA and am new to EN. I have 2-3 years of beginner triathlon experience. I race because it makes me a better person and I enjoy all the people you meet along the way.
I just completed IMLT 3 weeks ago and am super excited for the 2014 season. I joined EN because I want to improve as an athlete and not exactly sure how to do that. I work full time and enjoy spending time with my husband, who doesn't race, (yet), my puppies and horses and friends.
Hey all, this is Todd Dicus, from Leawood, Kansas (a KC suburb). I've been doing triathlons since 1992 and am a 4-time IM finisher. I did Wisconsin this year (second time) and am going back for Round 3 in 2014. Next year I'm moving up to the 60-64 age group, so I'll be looking for insight about staying injury-free and keeping up speed! Also, my focus in the short-term will be on my swim, which has been my limiter since I got into the sport. I'm tired of spotting my competition a 20-30 minute head start!
todd, i'm new to EN and don't want to be presumptuous, but usually the best way to improve in swimming is to improve your stroke. i would suggest you have a swim coach watch you swim and then make some suggestions. unlike biking and running, most people don't improve that much just by swimming harder or more often. bob
Hi EN! I'm glad to see some folks from the Northwest (both Pacific and Inland) here. I'm training for my first IM (CdA 6/29/14), and I'm excited to train alongside you all virtually or otherwise this year.
Hi all. Jed Kwartler, South orange NJ. Started around 40, now onto my 4th AG (55-59). Big goal this year is a "duel with the youngsters." My son and some college friends will either be doing individual or as relay Challenge AC in June and challenged me. I am a multi IM/HIM finisher so how could I not accept. But figured the support of the EN Nation would be a big help getting there.
My name is John (Chip) Newman, and I live in NC. I am relatively new to triathlon. I ran my 1st one in 2012 at age 49. This year I did several to include the Columbia Tri, IM 70.3 Raleigh, Rev3 Williamsburg Half-Rev, Nations Tri, and finished out the season with the Ullman Half Full 70. I did not perform particularly well in any of the races. I attribute this to my haphazard training. I am hoping that Endurance Nation along with a less aggressive race schedule will help me to focus on the races I have chosen to run, and finish with a feeling of accomplishment as opposed to the feeling of relief that I felt after each race this year. I truly love the sport, and am at a point that I want to take it seriously. I need something to help keep me focused, and I am hoping this is the answer.
Hey, I'm Dawn, live in the suburbs of Minneapolis MN. My spouse worked with EN for this year's IM 70.3 Racine, and I was so impressed by the coacing he had, I thought I'd give it a shot myself for my 2014 races.
First tri was a sprint distance at the Buffalo MN Triathlon in June 2012. Despite a less-than-spectacular swim (backstroke was my friend), I finished and was hooked. Did the LifeTime Mpls Sprint distance that year, plus the Maple Grove Sprint as well. Signed up for 8 events this past summer, did 6 of them. Won my age group by default at the Blaine MN Triathlon May 2013, since I was the only woman in my AG that stuck it out through the rain, wind and cold temps (59F water temp!) to start and finish the race. Won my first AG podium finish, third, at the Cleveland Triathlon/Sprint this year, which was my A race for the season, since it was in my hometown, plus I'd worked on it back in 1989.
Love the bike and swim, working on loving the run. Signed up for Rev3 Wisconsin Dells 70.3 in June 2014, and Superiorman 70.3 in August 2014.
My goals are IMoo 2015, then Kona before I'm 60! I love this sport, and it's allowed me to push myself to better myself mentally and physically, far beyond what I'd ever thought I'd accomplish.
I live w/my husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs in the suburbs of Minneapolis - wonderful summers/fall, but winter has become increasingly tougher to deal with the longer we live here. But hey, that's what fat tire bikes are for! Winter trail riding!
Hi Everybody! New member Spinchac here. I live in central New Jersey where we have a strong triathlon core . my A race is lake placid 2014 . Having a time deciding on a half that is spaced the right distance away. Thinking Quazzi. Also doing the new Atlantic city challenge 140.6. But just the bike on a relay. looking forward to meeting some new folk to chat, train and exchange ideas.

Hey all, figured I'd re-introduce myself, I was an EN member in 2011.
I got into triathlon in 2010. I've finished IMLOU twice (2010 and 2011), the Rev3 Knoxville HIM, Rev3 Knoxville Oly, and many local HFP Racing events here in Ohio. IMLOU 2011 was about a 90 PR over 2010 thanks to EN. For 2014 I'll be doing at the Rev3 Knoxville HIM and IM Boulder.
I'm 38 and live in Cincinnati with my wife Colleen and 2 boys ages 11 and 12.
Hi All, I'm Ivan, from Brazil. I'm 36 years old. I started with triathlons last year. I've finished a short an Olympic and a 70.3. I am coming to EN in order to get ready for my first Full Ironman in May 2014 (IM Brazil). Thanks to all and looking forward to learn from you.
My name is Tom Rutkoski, I'm 34 and I currently live in Philadelphia, PA. I've been competing in triathlons since 2008. I've completed 2 full ironman events (IMSG in 2011 and IMWI in 2013), 2 HIMs (Kansas 70.3 2010, Syracuse 70.3) as well as a number of short course races and relay events. My A race for this upcoming year is Syracuse 2014 in June. I generally finish in the top 1/3 to top 1/2 of my age group, but I came to EN b/c I would like to become significantly faster and finish higher within my age group. I enjoy the discipline and sense of accomplishment that coming from long course triathlons. Looking forward to meeting some fellow EN members!
Good Morning! My name is Jacklyn. I live in Roseburg, OR. I am a 40 year old Registered Nurse. I have been slowly checking things off my bucket list. My next item is to do a Tri. My life long goal is to run an Ironman. I remember as a teenager watching Kona and marveling at the athletes. WOW! This past spring I road my first Grand Fondo and did 7,000ft of climb. That was a light bulb moment for me. It got me thinking of childhood dreams. I have a great family. My 9 year old daughter likes to ride her bike with me when I run. She came up with a motivational song. It's a song about a cookie.
Hello! My name is Shari Shugart. I have selected Ironman Texas as my first Ironman in May 2014. I am coming from a running background and really excited about the approach Endurance Nation uses with its athletes and plans. I live and work currently in Hawaii and I am married to a super husband who sometimes thinks my ideas are crazy but once I am committed gives me his relentless support for every goal. Looking forward to working with the Endurance Nation team!
What's the right forum in da haus to find people geographically? Saturday looks sunny and awesome in Seattle...I'd love to find members who want to do the Saturday ride as a group.
Any noobs from Seattle or Eastside want to meet up in Issaquah for the Saturday ride?
My name is Brian and I am an Active Duty Army Officer currently living/working in the Tampa, Florida area. I have been racing for about 18 months and have completed a total of 6 races with Ironman 70.3 Florida 2013 being my longest race completed up to this point. I have a strong swimming background and decent running background. The bike was my achilles heel this past season. I trained with an EN-coached athlete for Ironman 70.3 FL and was intrigued by the training approach. After seeing that work worked for him, I had to check it out. My goals for the upcoming season are to get better on the bike!
Hi everyone, Andrea here. Started my trial thanks to the most awesome Carl Noftsger. My goal is to do IMCHOO in 2014. So excited to be part of the EN family.
Hi, all. Started my trial via purchase of the OS plan. Coach Rich has redirected me to start the OS in January with those on the team starting then. Goal race this year is IM 70.3 Miami in October. Quite excited to be here.
No clue if I am doing this correctly or not but hey everyone! Olympic distance triathlete here going after half then full ironman in 2014 Excited to learn and meet everyone!
Hello all.. my name is Kelly Hornsby, and I'm a 50 yr old former couch potato turned exercise nut. I've done about 15 sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, and I just completed (September) my first Half Ironman in Augusta GA. I volunteered for IMFL in 2013, and got signed up for IMFL 2014, and I will sign up for IM Chattanooga for 2015.
Several of my local Tri club members use EN, and they've done very well with EN, so I decided to join in. I have three 1/2 IM distance competitions this year about 3 months apart, and the full IM at the end of the year. I'm ready to go!
Hi all. My name is David. I live, work and train in Shanghai China. I started with the EN OS plan and have seen tremendous improvement on the bike. I have completed (3) 140.6 in the last 3 years and a few olympics. My 2014 A races are IM Texas in May and Metaman 140.6 in August. Looking forward to see what EN has to offer.
Hi everyone. My name is Dan and I recently purchased the IM Long Season Plan (Outseason + 20 week IM). I'm 55 and live in Sendai, Japan. Next year will be my 5th year doing triathlons. I've done a bunch of Olys (3 per year) and three HIMs (1 per year). My plan is to do the Sado Island Astroman on Sept 7 (3.8 km swim, 190 km bike, 42.2 km run). I successfully added some intensity into my bike and run training this year and decided that my body might be ready to give the EN approach a try. I will be checking things out for the next 30 days on a trial basis.
I'm new to EN. My name is Ethan Hales and I am from Destrehan, LA (just outside the New Orleans Metro area). My tri-experience consists of IM Texas 2012, IM Florida 2013, and several 70.3 races. This year I'm looking to PR a 70.3 and complete IM Lake Placid without injury and with a run PR. A PR in Lake Placid would be great, but the Florida course was super fast this year, so we will see.
Returning Member from last year, season shortened due to injury I live in Denver and now have some really good doctors in the Denver Area if you are ever in need.
Doctors recommended goal is HIM this year, probably September, and hopefully return to the IM race distance next season.

Richard, I think you can go to the EN Dashboard. Use the Community pull down menu and hit Member Map.
