Thanks, that was the website we were on earlier. Being a Canadian the address block does not flip for us to use provinces and postal codes so it stops the registration process. I fired off a msg to race director to see what's up with that aye! Thanks Steve
I also live 15 minutes from Newark airport and have a completely empty spare room w/ bath so I can put somebody up on Friday night and drive you up ther on Saturday. I also have a pull out couch and a couple of other spare couches if there are a bunch of people flying in. I have a mechanics bike rack and tools if you bring your bike on the plane or want to ship it to my house I can help you rebuild it.
I do not have a room for Saturday night yet. Was there a group decision on where to stay? I called Pete's place a couple of times and left a message, but never talked to a real person. Did somebody secure a block of rooms, and if so, can I have one?
I live a bit further south of Newark (30 minutes) than the rest, but can host 1 or 2 people. I may struggle with the bike transportation, but we can probably figure something out.
In addition bring your smiles because I will bring the course photographer!
I've also got a room to spare (30 minutes from Newark Airport), and a big azz Yukon XL/4 bike rack for transport. Confident when the plans are set, we'll be able to accomodate all the flyers.
@Brenda-- Thanks for the link. I forgot about that and really harrassed Chris when I saw it myself back when it came out and asked him how much he paid to get a little of the glory spotlight!! I forget his comeback now but you can imagine.
Flights booked. I'm arriving at EWR at 5:30 on Friday and the leaving EWR at 7:20 AM on Monday. It be awesome if I can take one of the NJ folks up on rides and a place to stay whenever possible. I'm a pretty decent bike mechanic and fitter if I can help you out with anything...and I don't take much room or need much at all :-)
If others are looking to fly from the Chicago area, I'm on AA 3738 and AA 419 and the total with taxes is under $200 right now.
@Beth - sorry no road trip because this will allow me to work a half day Friday and Monday.
Scott you are awesome, thanks! Just me (Mr Nemo will be staying home for this one). I'll check out flights and figure out what works. I can't believe Matt already has stuff booked!
I'm in. Signed up for the middle distance. My brother JT and I will be racing together again. I'm gonna use his road bike so I don't have to haul my Tri-bike from Chicago (gives me a great excuse if he beats me - crappy equipment).
@ Matt A - I'm coming from Chicago too. Will try to get on the same AA flights to/from Newark. I spoke with JT and you are welcome to crash with us at his place in Randolph, NJ (30 minutes northwest of Newark airport) on Friday & Sunday nights. He has lots of room so others are welcome too.
@ Tucker - are you the EN race "El Capitan" for this event? Hope to see all 3 of your girls again.
@ Jennifer B - are you flying from Chicago too? JT probably has room for you too.
@ Nemo - looking forward to meeting the legendary WSM "Nemo".
@tucker - are we going to go upstate to the race area on Friday night? or stay in the burbs? i can bring whatever gang i have in westchester across the river and meet up Friday night....
ok, Pete Joachim got some info from the finally responsive group sales person at the lexington Resort is giving us a rate of $139 (+ taxes). People should call and mention EN to get the discount. Didn't seem like availability was an issue. Note - Pete cannot vouch for the quality of the place - most reviews were "okay". Biggest gripe seems to be that the place seems outdated an in need of some updating but nothing that would stop us from booking a quick 1-nite stay. And basically our group would just be using it for 1 short sleep over since we'd all be up early and, given the length of the race, probably not back in time for a late checkout (shower) -you should inquire about that if interested, they do appear to have a full size outdoor pool (for anyone looking to get a swim in....).
Looks like the EN race spreadsheet was e-vandalized. Who created the sheet? Can we "roll back" changes?
Wow, that has never happened to any doc I have created before. Kinda sucks.
I restored from an older version and made it Private and gave Tucker and Scott admin access. Folks who now go to the page have to ask permission to view (they will see the dialog box when they go to it. The submission for access goes to Scott, Tucker and me and one of us will approve) and once granted access they can edit as needed. So we are all good.
Everyone on the doco now are:

@Carie, what website and how!
It sounds like flying in Friday late afternoon or early Saturday morning and then out Monday is what we should look for right?
