Re: Ignoring the Plan's Swim Workouts
Our swim coach here advocates primary sets of 50's/75's/100's, depending on how she feels. They are done hard with only 5+- sec rest. She thinks making us VERY uncomfortable with breathing/fatigue pays dividends no matter the distance. By the way, we started with 12 50's, now doing 20+ 75's. I do this once/week, then get a… -

Re: Crank Arm Length
I have about a 32" inseam. I've been on 172.5mm cranks for years. I ran 165's on the track to hit the high rpm's necessary for that type of racing. I FEEL like I don't get enough oomph on 170's especially when climbing. The 172.5s feel just right, but I've been on them longest. I feel like I get more power out of 175's but… -
Re: Hoka One One
Where have you all ordered your Hoka's? I just re-read this as it is time to get my race shoes for IMFL. My B2's (13.5) have been very good - sadly they look like Dino's with not much more than 150 miles on them (190# hurts the shoes). I wanted to get the S's (Speed) as they look "racey" and the B2's in blue are rather… -
Re: Power pedal help
@"David Howard" the Vector 1/2's were (are) very sensitive to being torqued properly. When I initially bought my Vector 1's I was seeing some weird data occasionally. DC Rainmaker pointed out in one of the first reviews of the Vector 1's how sensitive they were to installation torque. Since then I would install them,… -
Re: Week 9 Run Thread
I took advantage of the heat wave, high 40's, to get back to the track. I'm always a little worried that I am fooling myself running fast on the treadmill for whatever reason. I wasn't really sure how to pace these, I just knew I had to run fast. The targets were 40 sec for the 200's and 1:22 for the 400's. First set of… -
IMTexas, 25Feb-03Mar WKO Thread
12 weeks to show time. Game on. First swim of the year (last swim was September-ish) and it showed. 1800 on mostly 100's with some 150's throw in. Average pace 1:43's. Hard for me to get to the pool with life responsibilities, so Texas will be what it is. Outdoor pool near the office opens in May so I have higher hopes for… -

Re: Jan OS Week 11 Training
@Nemo - 2x15 on the trainer. you can do it. Sometimes I feel like the only riding i get to do is on the trainer. I blame work @Dan - Enjoy the Dan Band. Very jealous I had a great run today. It is really rare that I get out early am on Tues. morning because of work, but today was unique. I am carzy/lucky enough to be going… -

Week 9.....VO2 MAX run
Okay so now our mid week runs have a different focus. We are now running repeat intervals. Now please note these are at the Interval line and not the repetition line. May find your pace here: http://www.attackpoint.org/training...mp;vdot=50 Note our data tool does not list out our 200's, 400's, 800's, 1000's, 1200's or…
